I got 21 games in my Steam, which let's see... 21 * $60 = $1260, because that's the price for the consoles. And I paid around .. $40 in total. Because I got them through bundles, and sales. But I still rather put money aside, buy something that well lasts me for good years and can run games to come at max settings than a piece of box that can run games at medium settings. No one is forcing anyone, what we want is respect. I respected consoles and the console fanbase, but after seeing abominations around here I detested it. Because as far as I'm aware, Rockstar couldn't care less about a petition with a quarter million signatures, just like any other developer wouldn't care. Especially in a case like this, when it's almost obvious that there will be a PC version at some point in the future. I don't get why some people don't understand. The PC itself IS expensive if you want a good gaming PC. Depending on how good the system is, it probably suffices to spend ~$800 on a good PC to play videogames on maxed out settings. If you are someone who doesn't only purchase a couple of titles per year, but more, and you buy all of them on Steam, for instance, then PC could be even the cheaper platform. The hardware itself costs considerably more, but if you have to spend less money for each title, and you purchase quite a few of them per year, then the PC platform can be cheaper, but doesn't have to. Games like Ratchet and Clank, GTA SA, VC and so on, didn't have good graphics, but no one gave a sh*t? Till this day, they are the biggest hits on consoles. And yes, I respect the PC platform. Why wouldn't I? Anyway, I think it should end here. At the end of the day, both Platforms are good and serve their purposes. @Carl Johnson : Yeah, that is also another scenario. I do respect the sales the MOST on PC, it's just filthy cheap. The upgrading is the problem in my eyes, expensive for good hardware no matter what. Why would I be pissed off at something that I had no knowledge of or it didn't exist at all. Like redx165 once told me that I should be thankful for consoles because GTA exists because of consoles. I couldn't give two f*cks if it didn't exist, why? Because I wouldn't know about it in the first place. Why would I care for something that doesn't exist? People care about graphics nowadays because it makes a game more beautiful. I like graphics. I love them, I want a game with the best graphics (come at me bro), I am not saying V's is bad. I am talking on behalf of the real gamers not the trolls or the hackers, but what I am saying is, downloading a pirated game is either for 2 reasons. Either the person want to try it before buying it, or the person can't afford the game which what I will be talking about. For guys who can't afford it, it doesn't mean he is a lazy ass who can't get enough money for a game. But the reason is, it would cost too much. You see, like here in Egypt, The game is either 2 things. Either not available, or it costs 500 L.E or even more. Which is like a 75$ standard edition. For a gamer like me, he would want to buy the blockbusters like GTA V, Watch Dogs, Black Flag, Blacklist, CoD Ghosts etc. It can cost like 10000 L.E which is 1500$. I mean come on! Guys who cannot afford buying all the blockbusters still has the right to play the games. Who would pay 10000 LE just for games? If the games are actually fairly priced like 100 LE or 200 LE, I would buy it. I am a student btw, and I can afford a lot more than 10000 LE. But for something worthy. Not games.
