Though I do like them all based on what we've seen, and think they'll bring a lot to the game. I like Trevor's craziness, and hope to learn more about why he is that way, and his history with Michael. I like the different take on the gangster story with Franklin. CJ wanted to get out of that life, but was too strongly connected with his family and friends to fully stay out of it, even when he made it big towards the end of the game, whereas it seems like Franklin has a much better chance of getting out of that life. I'm also interested in seeing his relationship with Lamar, as well as his relationship with Trevor and Michael, and what he brings to the heist story. And Michael... While I am a bit wary about his family as characters, I am interested in seeing a GTA character who has a wife and kids, and how that will play the two sides of his character (family man and criminal) against each other. I think I'll edit it back now that I re-read now that I realize I was right in my original assumption, because like you said, I liked it better as well. I feel Michael is the best though because the guy has charm, style and a very laid-back personality.
