Do you guys want Breaking Bad references?

I've seen numerous people on here get up and say stuff like "OHOHOHO IF TREVOR'S GONNA BE DEALING METH THEN SURELY THERE'S GOING TO BE DOZENS OF BREAKING BAD REFERENCES". I just want to hear your guy's standing on it. Personally, I hope there aren't a lot of references to Breaking Bad in V, seeing as if there were references out the ass to the show, then it wouldn't feel like an original game. Sure, you can say the same about "Vice City" and Scarface, but the references were subtle.

 

Anyway, what do you think? Breaking Bad references out the ass or none?

It's already been mentioned I don't know how many times that Breaking Bad along with the movie Heat had influence on the game.

You guys know there is absolutely zero difference between threads like this and the 250,000 threads per week about weed and alcohol, right? I never saw anyone get this up in arms about the weed threads or the alcohol threads. Those are even more annoying because they have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH GTA V other than people are going to be getting high or drunk while playing GTA V. There have already been BB references, as pointed out in the other BB thread, Trevor is carjacking a guy who looks like Walter in one of the screenshots.

 

There will OBVIOUSLY be some Breaking Bad references in the game. There are going to be Heat references in the game. There are going to be The Town references in the game. Do we want it? I certainly love a good subtle reference. I think it is a little bit of a sellout that they made an entire mission out of the opening scenes to Heat, but it was too good of a heist to pass on. I would love to see GTA's take on The Town's Fenway Park robbery, though, too.

 

GTA has ALWAYS used some cultural references, they aren't going to stop now, nor should they. Its not a tragedy, the tragedy is really that we are discussing it like its not going to happen anyway.

The breaking bad script was stolen and leaked the last episode walter wakes up and it was all a dream he goes outside and all the crazy people in his dream are his neighbors.

I've been watching Breaking Bad but I don't see how it is connected to GTA V apart from the whole meth thing. I believe Trevor is a meth dealer.

There were diffrences but the whole set up of the mission was pretty obvious what it was paying homage to.

How was the whole game a reference? Aside from the mansion, the final mission, and the chainsaw apartment, Vice City didn't have many scarface references...
