Zepren
I'm so looking forward to Guardians of the Galaxy. I've been rewatching most of the marvel cinematic universe lately as my girlfriend's seen none of it (sacrilege, I know). It's been good as I know these films pretty well so I can chill and wait for the fights while picking out the little references and such that I sometimes miss. Don't ask for an example, "Mary Jane" has diminished my memory for such things. Next up is Thor: The Dark World. This gets me thinking, will we have mention/see any of the Asgardians? I hope so, I think that would actually make the Asgardians less mythical, as they feel in the other films, and more cosmic. Along with all the new races/planets/factions we're going to get. I'm also looking forward to some space city parts as, all their mistakes aside, this was something the prequel trilogy did well but I can't think of others since. The Collector seems to be city based to at least part of the film. Thanos will be cool too. I remember reading a business article from inside Marvel studios where a snippet of a conversation was quoted regarding Thanos' throne and how it'll been propelled by energy disks as opposed to rockets. It sounded like they were giving everything serious thought. Edited June 2, 2014 by Zepren tokyocean

How could you tell? lol "Druggy" is a bit harsh. I prefer the term "Recreational Marijuana Enthusiast" Edited June 2, 2014 by Zepren
mailrocket
I've read an article which said that Marvel is planning to "shut out" Fox, by shut out, I mean not releasing X-men toys and FF comics. Thus, giving FF to Marvel Studios......
IDredMan
I've read an article which said that Marvel is planning to "shut out" Fox, by shut out, I mean not releasing X-men toys and FF comics. Thus, giving FF to Marvel Studios...... I have a feeling that Fox isn't hanging on to Fantastic Four all that much. ... The actors for the reboot don't even know the characters have a costume... And don't even know the characters. Never in my life have I seen a bigger setup for a flop.
mailrocket
Ok here's the article I read: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=886482048035035&set=a.255014641181782.86037.217181691631744&type=1&relevant_count=1 Says also that Spidey from TASM2 will be included in Avengers 3 Now I know this will lead to more problems for sure.... Thus, giving FF to Marvel Studios...... That's ridiculous and probably a rumor. That would kill a big chunk of the franchise. It would piss off their most loyal fans. Although, they are killing Wolverine off in a couple months.

Zepren
I don't know how that gives FF to Marvel studios. Fox just have to be in production on a film with 7 years of the last installment (its 5 for Spiderman). They don't want to be promoting the films with their toys and comics but I don't think it'll make much difference. Most proper fans are too phased in a new FF anyway as, like Amazing Spiderman, it's been rushed into production with a cast no ones really fond of. If FF flops, I wouldn't be surprised if Marvel makes a good offer on the property and gets it back. Then Marvel can do it justice.
HaythamKenway
@darthYENIK Wolverine will be back in a year. Captain America, Batman, Human Torch or 616 Peter Parker all "died" recently and came back, comic book "deaths" are usually just poor business stunts. Actually, I remember Marvel saying, back around the time Torch died, that they plan to kill off one major character every year. I don't believe that stuff about not releasing FF books either. They are not flagship titles, but they still have sizable following and FF has huge tradition. And X books are so big that they actually are their own sub-genre of Marvel universe. Nah, worst that can happen to them is that they'll end up like Amazing Spider-Man, with writer off the chains, writing glorified fanfiction, because the editorial just doesn't care. darthYENIK
To be fair, Professor X was also killed off a couple years ago. But yeah, the popular characters always come back. Even Aunt May came back. Jean Grey kind of came back. Gwen Stacy, though, still dead.
IDredMan
I'v always applauded Jean Grey's classy nature of staying dead for at least a year before coming back. HaythamKenway
HaythamKenway
Looks like they got the director for Doctor Strange: http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=53213 Now Viggo Mortensen in the lead role, pretty please. @darthYENIK Didn't they kill Xavier in Avengers vs. X-Men too? The man never gets a break. I just remembered Wasp is still dead, isn't she? Or sorta-dead, I remember Pym having her in microverse stasis or something like that, but I stopped reading Avengers books, except for Dark Avengers, after Secret Invasion, so I'm not sure. mailrocket
With the growing universe in Marvel Studios, I'm 100% sure they are going to permanently kill off a few superhero characters in Avengers 5 or 6, I mean you just can't give a sequel or any continuation for them to control in EVERY solo character. Yeah, AvX is what I was talking about. I really don't think he's coming back, either. It really would be for the better. As for Wasp, not sure, I haven't read many Avengers comics of any kind. I always tell myself I'm going to jump in, but I just don't, usually to keep my weekly comic costs down. The only Marvel books I'm reading are Hawkeye (obviously), Deadpool (that's the ongoing and whatever Cullen Bunn puts out, like The Killogy), Wolverine, and Amazing Spider-Man. HaythamKenway
@darthYENIK Same. I thought I'd jump in at the start of Hickman's run, but the space stuff turned me away. I like my stakes lower, I guess, I must have been the only one who enjoyed Bendis' underground New Avengers fighting supervillain gangsters. Another problem is that I don't like reading comics, or books in general for that matter, on computer screen. So, pretty much the only things I read nowadays are Spider-family books, but even out of those books, I don't read everything, every month. Last book I've read in full was Rick Remender's run on Venom. Edited June 6, 2014 by SFPD officer

darthYENIK
Saw a "sneak peek" of GotG at Disneyland. Looks good. One point I had to point out is that Star-Lord encounters a humanoid skeleton with the skull of a horse. Seems like a homage to Beta Ray Bill.
