IDredMan
Nah, the Kree definitely belong to Marvel. Lady Sif name drops them in Agents of Shield (spoiler: Lady Sif appears in Agents of Shield). Also there's two Krees in Guardians of the Galaxy. It's safe to say, I'm super psyched for Guardians of the Galaxy. I'm intrigued by how it'll all tie together. It'll be interesting to look back from Avengers 3, when it eventually comes out, and see where this film falls in the grand scheme of things. Also interested in seeing what will follow GotG. Will it be Agents of Shield Season 2 next? I think it'll look good. Apparently they used sets and limited their use of CGI as much as possible. I likes this. Oh yeah I forgot. And Chloe Bennet spoiled that the alien was a Kree. So yeah they definitely own them. I just thought that Fox owns the Skrull and Kree because they own the Fantastic Four. Yeah, skills Skye. Then again, I doubt that they'd go with the only alien name dropped by Sif. Could be a bluff though. Would make sense, like how they own Galactus and the Silver Surfer (so sad that he's not gonna appear in Avengers 3). I wonder what'll happen to the Infinity Gauntlet afterwards. Didn't she named 40 different ones?
Zepren
Nope. She names the Kree and Coulson says he'd very much like to sit down with her at some point and go into the topic in more detail (once they've handled Lorei or however you spell her name). darthYENIK
Maybe I'm wrong, but maybe the film rights to the Kree in name can be with Fox, but they can use the name in AoS, because it's on TV and Marvel owns everything for TV. So Ronan the Accuser can be in the movies, but much like not being able to call Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch mutants, they can't say that he's a Kree. Or maybe I'm wrong, and they can say he's a Kree in the movies.
mailrocket
After carefully (and successfully) rewatched all Phase Two movies (until Cap 2) , I now know why certain characters/Avengers didn't help out when a fellow member was in trouble Iron Man 3: -There is a scene wherein Pres. Ellis introduces the Iron Patriot, to find the Mandarin and to protect this country from his attacks. I'm pretty sure Hulk and Captain America saw this news in their own TV too, so there's no reason why they would help out anyways. -There is also a scene where Tony Stark is threatening the Mandarin so, yeah, the Avengers knew this too. -Cap is working for SHIELD during that time, so he would be in a mission in the time Iron Man and Killian were fighting. -Iron Man has an Iron Legion, so don't let him ask why he didn't need his brother Hulk to fight alongside with him. -They couldn't call Thor and say "hello" through a phone you know. Thor: The Dark World: -Tony Stark destroyed his suits already and removed his reactor from what we saw in the last film. -Do you really think Hulk and Cap would just travel from America to England to help Thor? I mean that would take hours, and the final battle only lasted minutes. -Even with his flight ability, there is no way Iron Patriot would travel THAT fast to England. Captain America: The Winter Soldier -Still no Iron Man suits for Tony (FYI, as we saw in Avengers 2 set photos, Tony has a new suit, that's because SHIELD has fallen and that he built a new one as a "replacement" for the broke agency, to protect the world) -I think Hulk would pretty much do nothing, he's not a SHIELD agent, he doesn't know what's going on, so leave him. -Cap has already Falcon and Black Widow by his side so no need for Thor, in fact he's in England and doesn't have a cellphone. -Hawkeye absence will be pretty much explained in Avengers 2 There's ALWAYS a reason to everything Edited May 22, 2014 by mailrocket
darthYENIK
Dude, don't get me started on the lack of Hawkeye in Cap 2. I already said my peace. But I agree. Also, I'm a comic fan and generally you don't ask why Superman doesn't help Batman fight Joker. It's like an understanding that heroes fight their own battles for the most part. Yeah you can do all the detailed analysis you want but the real reason that [Character A] doesn't appear in [Character B]'s movie is because it's a movie about [Character B]. mailrocket
It's still a universe and they're still connected. You just can't let a A be removed from the alphabet unless there's a reason. But of course, there is a reason. Ever since the Avengers and the Phase 2 movies came out, people started asking "Hey, what was he doing while the other guy was fighting?" or even "Dude, where was he the whole time?". Well here's your answer. Edited May 22, 2014 by mailrocket
Zepren
In Cap 2, they mention that "Barton is in Afghanistan". As for Hulk in Iron Man 3, it was pretty bullsh*t that they just used him to ruin the use of the post-credits scene. He should have appeared properly as we see him leave with Tony to form an awesome bromance in the Avengers. We'll not see as much of this as IM3 was the last Iron Man centric film. Avengers 2 will feature Tony building the new avengers, I presume we'll see Banner hanging around here and be a big part of its creation, until Tony backstabs him and causes Planet Hulk and World War Hulk which will hopefully happen after Avengers 2 makes a sh*t tonne of dough. mailrocket
I think it's a bit too early for a Planet Hulk and a World War Hulk film, I mean there are still great stories and unused villains. Because a film like that could have a major change in the MCU, and that needs time, we've only seen Part One of Hulk, so it's not fair if we just jumpstart him to let it be a film of Hulk from outer space. Zepren
Well following on from Guardians and Avengers 2, the MCU will be better set up for it. If Hulk loses it in Avengers 2 and accidentally kills some people, I'm calling Planet Hulk right then.

darthYENIK
Yeah, but it sounds like he wasn't taking it in a direction that was very Ant-Man-like. Which makes sense because apparently he's not read much Ant-Man.
mailrocket
He wanted to make the movie before MCU ever began, but I think he likes it in his own way than the "Marvel Studios" way. IDredMan
Question. Do Marvel Studios own Chameleon or is he with Spider-Man under Sony?
mailrocket
Well, IM3 had Rhodes as Iron Patriot instead of Osborn, even before Sony mentioned that Osborn was in TASM2. So yeah, anything Spider-Man related is definitely Sony, even Chameleon
IDredMan
But Marvel Studios DOES own Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, right? He's with Daredevil. 100% with Daredevil and they got him back. I'd sh*t my pants if he wasn't MCU.
darthYENIK
Not sure. Kingpin first appeared in Spider-man.
IDredMan
Yeah, but he's still more known for being Daredevil related. He was even in the Daredevil movie... So he would have been converted back to Marvel Studios when Fox gave it back. And I don't think Marvel Studios is really glad other studios own their characters, let alone sell more. mailrocket
I have a question it might be MAoS related but it's also Thor related: In Thor: The Dark World we see that Frigga, Thor's mother, died by getting stabbed in the chest by Accursed. But as we see in its tie-in episode in Agents of SHIELD, we see Professor Randalf getting stabbed by the berserker staff in the chest, the question is why was he able to recover from that event but Frigga can't?? I'd like an explanation of some sorts

So he would have been converted back to Marvel Studios when Fox gave it back. And I don't think Marvel Studios is really glad other studios own their characters, let alone sell more. Kingpin is 99 % Marvel's. AFAIK, the reason why they used Tombstone as the "mob boss" villain in Spectacular Spider-Man was that they didn't have rights to Kingpin, he just wasn't a part of Spider-Man's package. Ironically, I think Marvel don't really mind Spidey with Sony and X-Men with Fox. Those films are basically free advertisement for their merchandising and comic books and they still get royalties without actually having to put any work in. But MCU could really use Fantastic Four, especially their villains and supporting cast. We're missing so much good stuff, Doom, Galactus, Annihilus, Silver Surfer... Same goes to Spidey's villains. The Defenders' rogues gallery would be much more appealing with bad guys like Sandman, Electro, Vulture or Hobgoblin. I mean, who else is there? The Owl? Oh, cr*p, I just realized there will be no Daily Bugle in the Netflix shows! No Ben Urich dealing with JJJ... mailrocket
It would be even more dumb if his character doesn't look like him. I mean Groot and Hulk got their own looks from the actors. It would be a shame to exclude this from their list.
darthYENIK
No it wouldn't be. It's dumb to show a character in one movie, then completely change how he looks in another for something as frivolous as they want him to look like the voice actor. The Hulk is different because you actually see Ruffalo as Bruce Banner. Groot is different because they didn't show him in a previous movie, and can do whatever they want with him. Thanos on the other hand was already seen in one of the highest grossing movies of all time. You can't just say, whoops he looks different now. mailrocket
Don't get me wrong, Damion Poitier was great as Thanos in The Avengers. Marvel should have given him a contract cause a villain like that is supposed to appear in various films. We'll just have to wait and see what he looks like in GOTG.........
