Double post but holy crap lol, the No Way Home tickets went on sale today and I've heard it's bonkers, sold out everywhere, people reselling their tickets etc.

People are thirsty as all hell for this.

Ikr, it took me a solid 3 hours to get my hands on them through fandango. I saw some people would buy 10 of them and put them on sale for eBay for a ridiculous price.

Well, until Spider-Man, why don't you enjoy this new and improved version of Infinity War? On the house!

Getting the soul stone part is f*ckin' hilarious, and so is getting the mind stone from Vision. Had me in tears.

Almost no one outside of the comic-book fans even knew who Iron Man was before 2008, and those who knew didn't care that much. Disney/Marvel turned him into the greatest superhero of our generation.

I wouldn't say Iron Man was THAT unknown, I wasn't even a comic book fan around the time Iron Man 1 came out, and I at least knew who he was before from some videogames and cartoons (Anyone remembers Ultimate Alliance?)

Weird of Feige to just come out and announce that randomly. Feel like he's in something soon and they were terrified of it leaking so he just announced the casting now. There's rumours of someone else from Netflix appearing in Hawkeye very very soon too.

Well, whatever happens with Daredevil and the rest of Netflix production Marvel heroes, I hope they know that they can't throw them into some PG13 crapfest like all the rest of Disney+ shows.

Netflix nailed the real comic book atmosphere of Daredevil. Disney cannot and should not f*ck with that.

Depends which comic book atmosphere tbh. Something more like MAX, sure, I guess.

For me a big reason why I got bored of them was because they felt nothing like an on screen take of the 616 universe. A big, big strength for street level stuff for me is the interconnected world, stories and characters that cross paths etc. Given the rumours and speculation, I think we'll see that with a potential Daredevil show in future.

R rated stuff or just generally more mature stuff isn't really important for me in comic book stuff, so if the blood and violence is turned down I don't really care much, I just want Daredevil to exist in an actual comic book universe.

Is just me or is it kinda weird that The Punisher exists in the same universe with a talking raccoon and tree. I really liked the tone of the Netflix shows, bloody and gritty. Hopefully they don’t change that.

Good news for Daredevil fans. If or when Disney decides to add Daredevil to the MCU, Charlie Cox will be their man: https://www.cinemablend.com/interviews/kevin-feige-confirms-daredevil-casting-in-the-mcu-and-fans-will-be-pumped

Disney owns Hulu or Star for you overseas folks which is where they put all of their mature stuff now so I’m expecting them to put him over there and not on Disney+

I think it worked, for what it is at least. I don't think any of that's going to have any real payoff until the Echo series so there's no real reason to make too big a deal of it in Hawkeye.

Well, Spider-Man: No Way Home is pretty damn good. You could also accurately describe it as Web Head Redemption.

I lost all hope for the MCU after End Game, but this is a return to form. It's the best out of Tom Holland movies. Not perfect, but definitely a good Spider-Man movie.

I'm just gonna say one more thing

Spoiler

Matt f*ckin' Murdock, f*ck yes!

Hopefully, we can discuss the movie in more detail in a couple of weeks after you all see it because there's a lot of awesome to unpack in this one.

It's a proper Marvel comic book film, it more than any other Marvel film to date feels like it takes place in the Marvel universe. So much of that film is not possible without the MCU, and the little touches which I won't spoil are great.

I also don't think anyone is going to take this as a spoiler as it's irrelevant to the film, but the Doctor Strange 2 trailer looked reeeeeeeeeeeeally good as well.

Yea it's fan servicey as hell but nails it.

It... just met the expectations which doesn't sound like high praise but when those expectations were sky high, oof yea. It just hit the right spots and was a really fun, enjoyable and satisfying watch.

Spoilers:

Spoiler

I'm also really curious to see where they go with Holland Spidey in future as well, they've really just given him a proper clean slate, he's broke living out of an apartment, no college, classic homemade suit and no back up. They've done an entire trilogy and have only just now have him at the classic Peter Parker/Spider-Man stage. It'll be fun to see how that goes, and now they've done a whole bunch of his villains in one go it'll also be interesting to see who they use in future, Venom obviously being a very likely candidate there.

Also re: Doctor Strange 2 trailer, loved seeing America Chavez and I seriously hope they make her powers comic accurate cause I wanna see her kicking holes in the multiverse. Be curious to see if the Dark Strange is another being (I know Nightmare was rumoured a while back) or a variant spawned from the events of Loki. Haven't watched What If? yet but I've seen some mentions that he could literally be the Strange from his episode there too.

I watched the movie Friday night and holy crap it was good. A few problems here and there but they nailed it. Everyone in this movie was phenomenal besides 2 characters I’d say. Very emotional and kinda dark but not too dark which I liked. The action is great and there was many intense scenes in the movie. There  is a lot of things to talk about but I won’t spoil the movie, if you haven’t seen it, watch it. If your a Spider-Man fan this will not disappoint.

Hawkeye is bloody fantastic, one of the best things Marvel has put out period. Plays out more like a mini series set deep within the MCU, rather than the previous three shows (which I all enjoyed a lot) which were used, in part, to set up future MCU story arcs. Where as Hawkeye really does feel like a very nicely contained story, there is a little bit of teasing towards future stuff but no where near Loki/Wandvision/TFATWS level, and the key characters stories are all well contained and it just ends on a really good note.

also, Yelena and Bishop are gonna be Marvel's next big thing I tell ya.

I ended up enjoying Hawkeye a lot more than I thought I was going to. It had a lot of the type of humor that I often found "cringey" in a lot of the earlier MCU movies but it just worked here. Felt more organic.

I think Falcon and Winter Soldier is still my favorite of the Disney+ shows so far but I really wish Marvel could come up with a show that doesn't make me feel like I should have re-watched four movies to refresh my memory on things. I'm thinking maybe the Echo show could provide that.

The humour in the show is typical Marvel humour but yea I agree, it just lands really well here and I think it's entirely down to the chemistry of Renner and Steinfield, and later Steinfield and Pugh.

Also having watched Black Widow very recently (the show finally made me get round to it) I'd honestly say it's a better send off for Black Widow than the film was, with the film more so being a good origin story for Yelena and not much else.

I loved so far all Marvel installments, however i had a hard time following WandaVision, it felt dragged out - like the writers ran out of ideas tbh.

Spiderman FAFH movie: is good, has everything a fan would want, no complains, watch it and you decide.

You see, you're your own critic!

With that said; Go Spidey! Awesome noneoftheless go watch it !!!

Finally getting around to watching What If? and it's better than I expected tbh. Liking the unusual combinations of characters that are happening in it, and they've gotten a surprising amount of the live action cast back for their roles which is nice.

The Doctor Strange one is the best I've seen so far and it'll be interesting to see if that indeed ties into Doctor Strange 2.

Caught Eternals tonight, holy sh*t it was bad, easily the worst movie in the series so far (and we're talking about a series with that Captain Marvel movie in it, lol). But worse yet, Harry f*cking Styles as Thanos' brother! Behave! I'm not a 13 year old girl. 🤣🤣

It all rests on Spider-Boy now, but as I suspect, it's looking much like the franchise peaked with Endgame. Can't believe I'm relying on Holland/Zendaya to literally save the day. 😋

Eternals is.. messy. Too many characters and too much exposition. If you're a fan of the lore (and I'm a huge fan of cosmic Marvel stuff from the comics) it's enjoyable, but I'm more excited by the plots the film left unanswered than I was excited for the film its self after watching it. There's rumours of a directors cut for it which would be a first for Marvel and would be kinda interesting but at the same time I don't think it'd make the film better... and yet I don't think making the film any shorter would be better either. I think I summed it up back when I saw it which was that Chloe Zhao did the best she could with a really tough hand.

I know where you're coming from but believe me it's absolutely perfect casting. To put it simply, Starfox/Eros is basically a superpowered celebrity who goes around space partying and sleeping with people, I genuinely think they've nailed the character by casting Styles in the role and he's shown decent acting chops in other stuff as well.

As for No Way Home, if you don't enjoy that film there's something wrong with you . It's just.. everything good about Marvel films in one package.
