Creed Bratton
Not sure how I feel about this. While it looks far more interesting than previous two films, and easily more interesting than anything from phase 4 so far, I am also conflicted due to the fact that Disney seems to think they have to resort to using the glory of old movies that they had nothing to do with in order to try to make a decent Spider-Man flick. So it's kind of pathetic in a way, but I'll keep an open mind since Spider-Man is one of my favorite super heroes of all time.

Daredevil is a pretty significant Marvel superhero and Netflix has done a great job with the show. Disney should have done more with him. I know that some people are saying that we can see Matt Murdock in the trailer for this movie, but it's not him. You can clearly see that the guy in the white shirt and a tie has a belly, and it's just a cop who entered the interrogation room in the previous shot. acmilano
One long deconstruction of Black Widow. Also, funny how the Taskmaster was actually and male stuntman for the most of the movie. They should then just hire a female stuntwoman,or keep the character male.

Jason
Shang Chi was enjoyable in a Black Panther style of way. It's very modern Marvel but in a fresh lick of paint, which is a big reason why I've still not got around to Black Widow, which feels like a phase 2 film they had on the shelf for a few years. It also has a few subtle teases towards the future that don't detract from the film at all, few things to look forward to seeing play out. darthYENIK
I’m hyped. One of my favorite comic book runs is getting a TV show. Lucky the pizza dog is there!
Jason
It really does look like the closest thing to a straight up live action adaption of a specific Marvel comic run than anything else so far. It reminds me so much of Fraction's Hawkguy run and I'm all for it.
Girish
Nostalgia is such a powerful emotion... I mean, I'm hyped to see Pattinson's Batman but Marvel knocked it out of the park with the Spider-Man trailer. Now all that DC has to do to compete is to bring back Heath from the dead. Jason
The Flash movie will be in the same vein, it's featuring some old Batman actors as Bruce I believe. But yea with Marvel now tapping into the multiverse anything is possible now. I can totally see them introducing the X-Men, FF, some handpicked Fox-verse characters etc through the multiverse and then doing a Secret Wars two parter that brings them altogether in the same universe. darthYENIK
Finally saw Shang Chi, and I liked it. Fun, action packed, the characters were interesting and not just cookie cutter. Shang and Katy are now my favorite Marvel couple. NileshKumar

TBH, only Michael Keaton & Bale would invoke some kind of nostalgic response. I don't think you're going to get that with Val Kilmer or Clooney. That's the problem with DC - lack of great quality movies in the past to tap into this multiverse thing. Marvel, on the other hand, has an array of movies to choose from. They kinda did it already with their CW shows by making DCEU Flash meet CW Flash but people don't like those shows as much I've already stopped watching them. DC needs to bring in Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy. Edited September 28, 2021 by Zello
Jimmy
Finished catching up with all the episodes of What If.... It has a lot of potential. The series lives up to its name smartly by making choices at the heart of the stories which a lot of us may/may not have imagined. One has to admit that some of the thinking/possibilities are certainly guilty pleasure. As an avid comic book reader, it's really fun to see a lot of the arc/references from comic books coming into the show. It's a shame that a lot of A-list actors didn't prefer to do voiceovers. Other than that, props to everyone else who did. Re: Shang Chi, It has a massive soulfulness that future MCU movies need to take notes on and that only Black Panther did so memorably. For an amount of time, you actually forget that it's set in the same universe as the other movies. tThe storyline continues incredibly, and we understand the moments of humour the MCU is so well-known for (we love them for it). The combat performances are remarkably well done for a Marvel movie. Even though the storyline is very well predictable, the numerous great action moments making it an enchanting movie to watch. I would recommend watching this one (again and again you can). P.S: Definitely getting the Blu-Ray DVD for this one when it comes out. i5 10400F • MSI Z490-A PRO • XPG 16GB DDR4 3000MHz • MSI RX 570 4GB • NZXT H510 • Cooler Master MWE 650 V2

Jason
Eternals is enjoyable but I can also see why people won't enjoy that much. It's a long film that introduces loads of new characters and elements into the MCU through a ton of exposition and it does bog the film down in some ways. Visually it's fantastic and I thought that the characters them selves were great and I'm looking forward to seeing them in future stuff, Makkari in particular, she was great in this. Some interesting post credits scenes too, one you can easily predict going into the film and another I completely forgot all about until I saw it, but it's an exciting thing to see finally confirmed. Spoiler That exciting thing being Starfox and Thanos being confirmed to be an Eternal after all this time. Nice to see that tied together in a good way. Not MCU's strongest film by any means but it was an enjoyable watch that was about as well put together as the cards Chloe Zhao was given I think. darthYENIK
darthYENIK
It is high concept. Even that Star Wars like opening scroll was almost as bad a the opening of David Lynch’s Dune. But it was okay. You can see it’s sewing the seeds to something big.
Lonely-Martin
The kids got me to watch Shang Chi, it was ok. Bit basic on the plot, but I wasn't expecting it to be unpredictable mind you. It is a superhero movie after all and a safe one for younger viewers naturally. Didn't really enjoy Ben Kingsley's overacting and forced comedy though, he's much better than that. The action wasn't terrible but I don't really go in for all that kung-fu slo-mo stuff, nor the dragons or generally Chinese lore overall so it was harder to just get stuck in without feeling a bit bored. But it wasn't terribly made by any means, just felt standard and after some really big films before like Avengers, Spider-Man, Iron Man etc, just felt a bit off. The kids enjoyed it and my daughter loves the lead who did well and the chemistry with his BFF in the movie was a shining moment.

Creed Bratton
I already don't like it. I've seen two terrible attempts at jokes that server no purpose but to distract from the seriousness of the situation. Not to mention that one of them belittles one of Spider-Man's greatest enemies and one of the best characters of the Raimi trilogy. That's not funny or clever. It's just stupid. What are these people thinking?

This will also be the first marvel movie I’ll watch since the last Spider-Man I agree, it looks fun and for me, it'll be one to watch that feels big and important since Endgame. Then again, it'll not be hard to top what's come since Far From Home considering the films we've had until now (though I'm yet to see The Eternals - But it doesn't have that 'must see' feel to it like the MCU often has. And that comes from someone who generally feels too old when watching Spider-Man, lol. And that doesn't really like the sidekicks at all, or Cumberbach aka, mr mummy bait. But as much as I dislike or find certain characters 'meh', the Spider-Man movies roll along at a great pace and ard action packed enough to entertain and usually offer plenty in the universe as a whole so I'm willing to forgive aspects when a flick just entertains like Peter Parker's adventures do.
