Jonjonlb4
Is the strategy guide worth buying? I'm one of those players the refuses to use Cheat codes until I've beat the game. I've never used a strategy guide. Not sure What would be in it. Any opinions?

Eutyphro
The maps are useful. But anything in it could be found on the internet eventually. And it's boring to use it on a first playthrough. It has nice artwork this time if that's your thing. I'm getting me one.
redx165
no. If you absolutely need help, Google. Forget google and just watch youtube. It's a free service and you can see how they did it.
Dope_0110
Why would you need it. Just go to the red dot on the map, kill everything until there are no more red dots on the map, mission complete. Seriously, what problem could you ever have in a game like GTA that you'd need help with. And there's google for that if you really are stuck in a certain mission. PSN-NEFSTAR
I just preordered the gta v collectors strat guide. Won't use it for cheats for a long time. I want something to keep on my shelf
epicluca
Yeah man buy it for the collectibility.
Jonjonlb4
So pretty much only get it if I want to Keep it on a shelf. Lol. Guess I'm gonna Pass on it. I prefer playing the game on My own. I just wasn't sure what was in it. If it tells you how to beat each mission Then that's kind of whack. Does it give a list of Every car in the game? That way you can try And find every one. 123-bob
Ive never bought a Strategy guide ever and ive been gaming for 15 years, but i might for GTA V, not for help as in cheating to progress further in the game but just so i can look to for reference and for things that ill probably miss in this gigantic game
epicluca
You dont need to type like this the page will stretch as far as you want it to so be free and type as far and wide as you want. And no not to keep it on a shelf, the hardback guide comes with exclusive artwork and other cool stuff so yeah.

gtafaninwest
I was going to get the strategy guide, but decided it wasn't worth it. That's what the internet's for through GTW or gamefag. Plus, I find Brady Games to supply beta information.

I'll probably get the Limited Edition Guide just as a collector's item. You can keep it as a souvenir if you really like the game.
Weigel21
I went ahead and paid for my preorder of the Collectors edition and when asked if I'd like to add a strategy guide, I though what the hell and ordered the Limited Edition Guide as well. I paid off the game when I went in to order, but didn't have enough to initially pay everything off. That changed a couple weeks later though. I will play through the game once without cracking the strategy guide open, but in my second play through for 100% completion, I can guarantee you I'll be using it, and probably Google, this forum, and Youtube as well. GRINCH ASS BITCH
Generally speaking, no. Pretty much everything that's in it (and more) will be all over the internet for free. To be honest, if I were actually buying the strategy guide, I'd scan every page and make a .rar file for everyone to download. 'Course, I'm not buying the strategy guide. Eutyphro
if I were actually buying the strategy guide, I'd scan every page and make a .rar file for everyone to download. That would be the ultimate nice guy thing to do. But sadly enough I'm far too lazy to even consider it.

SWEET P. NWA
Why not? It's only £10 off Amazon and it's nice to have. Plus, you alot get extras that the Special/Collectors edition don't include. E.g exclusive artwork, posters, bonuses, etc. http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/0744014...&pf_rd_i=468294
