I'm not really sure if R* will spend their time on something like this. Just having a dead theme park area is a waste of space. There is nothing useful about it. Functioning theme park would be a lot of work, on the other hand. Also, some very interesting challenges. How do you build a believable theme park in a game where you don't have children?

All I can say is that if R* decide to do this, I hope they do it right. They really shouldn't just throw a token theme park area for the sake of having it.

The Del Perro pier will most likely be our only "amusement park" in the game and I'm okay with that. Kinda like Firefly Island Funland in IV.

There was Dead Theme Park in GTA IV. But i just don't feel they will include it due

to the deals it would mean , Besides they probably want to keep the theme park out of it because

they want to dynamic Areas based of the Characters.

Let's be honest: Most of the GTA IV map was completely dead, barely any areas that actually reflected a city of that size. It was amazing at its release, but now it just looks a little silly.

Anyways, it won't have any big theme parks as posted before, I just hope that this time around at least the Pier will be somewhat interactive.

One of the coolest things I saw while driving in the desert between Las Vegas and LA was an abandoned theme park. I could see something like this. It could be similar to the Coney Island looking park in GTAIV. I can't imagine a fully functioning theme park, though. Afterall, the park referenced in GTA San Andreas wasn't on the map. Maybe you'll be able to play mini-games and ride the ferris wheel in Los Santios version of Santa Monica beach.

From what we know about the map of the Los Santos area - and unless Rockstar have managed to keep it a complete secret - it looks like the only fun park is going to be the one on the pier. No Universal Studios parody. No Disneyland parody. No Six Flags parody.

I hope so, or at least have the Studio City area in the game. I love the idea of taking the freeway past Vinewood Hills and coming upon even more city. Plus all the movie studios too...

I was hoping they'd at least put Glory Hole Theme Park in there...

GTA is a crime game with open world freedom, not a sim game. Don't live your life in a game, go to the real life place if you want to. GTA 5 will have the pier with the roller coaster and all sorts of stuff, it should be enough. They can't possibly include every detail everyone wants that is in real life LA into a space that is only a very tiny fraction of the real life city.

They would have to get Universal to sign off on that I think. But they wouldn't be able to name it directly 'Universal' they would call it 'UrineTurdal Studios' or something hilarious.

Yeah this time we have the Pleasure Pier at Del Perro Pier and hopefully the 'Glory Hole Theme Park' there was radio commercial about it in SA and even an internet web page about it in IV so who knows!

Are you retarded? Gta IS a crime simulator and why in the hell would I want to get on a plane and spend 18 hrs flying to that armpit of America just to go to a theme park? breathing in toxious fumes from your gas guzzling vehicles all the way there, having your stinky ass people breathing their grease peanut breath on me and talking so freaking loud that I can't hear myself think? Then I have to get a taxi that has a stench like a magic tree air freshner dipped in 'Au du wet dog hair' and pay $60 US to get back to LAX and get on the plane with a whole bunch of sweaty ass yanks back home, stuck next to some old fat lady whining about her painful butt the whole way there, with her arm permanently stuck to mine via a layer of grease sweat.

NO thank you. I'll just buy the game.

I could see a mission in which one of the protags is chasing somebody in an abandon or closed theme park in which there is a roller coaster ride chase to insue.

"Three most popular places in real life" hahaha.

They're not even the three most popular theme parks in real life. Much less in regards to everything.
