What do you think the PC port will be like?

Specially because Toronto and Vancouver are in the same team, in other words we have the team that ported GTA IV with the team that optimized the engine for PC working together... that could mean something.

Certainly, you meant "the team that screwed GTA IV for PC with the team that provided superb experience to MP3 game".. yeah, i should feel optimistic because theres no Vancouver studio anymore >.>

I remember when the PC version of GTA IV was released it made my brand new PC look like a pocket calculator. So I upgraded to cover the requirements and I thought this will be enough to run the game smoothly but hell no, it was still laggy and had textures hickups. Then I realized it was a bad port... nowadays I have a high-end PC but I still get nightmares about this.

I keep my fingers crossed that R* won't mess up this time.

I think that the making of max payne 3 on PC was an attemt of R* to experiment with the platform, so they will have alot more experience on PC developing.

I just hope for a decent port because it will be such a shame if me or any one of the PC gamers who are going to wait for such a long time, to recive a beadly optimized port.

Didn`t max payne 3 sell pretty bad on pc? At least, that is what I heard. No doubt, GTA would sell like mad though, all the others have. It will eventually come, it`s the same engine so I see why not. Would imagine it being with next-gen consoles considering how gta online will be and what their plans are. Could be huge really, this could only be the start if it`s successful enough, which I think it is.

I don't think its going to be as bad as GTAIV, but also not as smooth as Max Payne 3, it will just "okay" just to play it and not to worry about FPS jumping like crazy...

Although the PC is capable of doing more than consoles, I doubt they'll change any of the gameplay mechanics apart from some high res textures.

It's gonna be like Max Payne 3. But still bad. MP3 as good as it was for a rockstar port is still sh*t compared to other PC ports. The control system is crap; Mouse acceleration and deceleration to make it behave like a gamepad really hindered the intense shoot outs. The weapon selection wheel is big no no on PC. I have 10 numbers above my WASD keys let me use those instead of having to press a button and mousing over to the weapon I want. It be alot faster and alot more accurate. The strafing movement felt limp.
