Empires were like the Gang Wars, Vic had great hand to hand combat, and plus the ability to swim, was just fantastic. I didn't really like the plot too much, (SPOILERS!!!!) except for Louise Cassidy Williams and Vic Vance's tragic love story, and Vic's revenge, it was almost Shakespearean, almost, but Phil's whiny daddy issues, and Martinez being able to bully Vic in any way made no sense. Why would Vic, a man who wants nothing to do with drugs, hop into the drug game. People will say, because of his brother, but that's why he joined the Army to take care of his family, so the drug game seems a moot point. Also, since Victor Vance is portrayed has an anti hero tha doesn't want to be part of this drug and gang violence, why would he be able to shoot up random pedestrians? Don't get me wrong I love GTA, and I loved Vice City Stories, but I prefer my GTA protagonist to be either hell bent on revenge, a gang banger, a mafia hitman, something that fits the norm of the series. I loved the new take on the old LC, it looked beautiful. VCS was a step ahead in many ways, but took more steps back with the numerous bugs and glitches. CTW I enjoyed, just not as much. zeppelincheetah Posted July 25, 2013 Share Posted July 25, 2013 Chinatown Wars (though I never played the PSP version, only the original on DS). It had soooo much GTA fun packed into a handheld. It was stylish and arcadey, had a good story and tons of side stuff - the best was drug missions. I like to be able to use the stylus at certain points. LCS is second up. Was on the same level as the other III era 3D games. Decent enough story, great vehicles, awesome soundtrack (particularly Radio Del Mundo) VCS I just didn't like. AnDReJ98 Posted July 27, 2013 Share Posted July 27, 2013 I go with VCS because it's perquel of VC (my favorite) and cause i enjoyed more than CTW & LCS. It was last 3D era game and it was awesome. It had some features from SA, plus new features that weren't included in SA. Swimming was good, and bussines system also did good job there. Fight system was improved alot and it was good to see bicycle & many other things that appeared only in SA, now in VC. The only bad thing that i didn't like was short story and it has no PC version, so i had to use PCSX2 to play it. I personally think, it's underrated game.
