How do you put those 2 in the same catagory, you need to get your opinions unbiased before trying to make fun of any type of Black/ Hispanic culture I don't allow myself to listen to it because then after a week I notice a slight decrease in my IQ. They guys make millions of dollars and sing about trash. There is no meaning in music like that. If you notice when they sing live at a concert, their voices are a little different from the studios. .. Search snoop's IQ if you don't believe me I don't know who measured him, and I love Snoop just so you don't think I'm hating here, but as a psychology student I can tell you what we, the people who came up with IQ tests know about them... they don't mean sh*t. They measure a small part of persons potential. Snoop does seem like a smart guy, and his business moves have proven he is, but I wouldn't really call him a genius. Jay Z, now that's a genius among rappers. NO, he is a businessman. he is no poet, he has no place in Hip Hop except for Dead Presidents and thats it but maybe good artist have no place in Hip Hop since everyone has taken over it and turned into a place were calling woman a bitch and influencing dumb people who don't know how to control there lives. I agree he's not using his position to try and make a change, and honestly I understand. He came from nothing, came up to the top, got million, got Beyonce and in his position how many of us would really even bother with ''giving back'' when there's a huge bed with Beyonce in it waiting for us? So he just plays it safe and stays where he is. Good rappers can only come up by making good songs. Anyone can talk about social issues in a rap, but only a few know how to make a good song out of it like Pac did, or Nas still does. Then there are people like Immortal Technique who simply doesn't make his song in a way that would be more appealing to the broader audience and that's why he can't be on top do convey a more positive message to a wider audience.
