As a console owner, I don't give a f*ck bout graphics.

 

It's just all these stupid PC gamers who think they're high and mighty. They're just upset because they need to wait until 2014 for the game. Can't have everything can you?

Actually I believe its more of a "Performance" thing here.

Oblvion and Morrowwind have some pretty sh*t graphics. Granted I just started playing them recently And I have the best time playing them. Hell, I clocked in more hours on those two games than on GTA IV.

Are you seriously aiming with your post and point at the PC sales by the retailers? Retailers don't even sell well bro, go look at digital sales and then talk.

 

You seem to forget that companies such as Steam and Origin never release their sales numbers.

Steam ran out of copies of IV during a winter sale. (And FYI, Rockstar gets full price for those keys, Steam choose to do the sales and whatnot, that's what I think at least).

It's a fallacy to say gamers have no care for graphics. If gamers truly didn't care about this stuff, why do they go nuts when new devices like consoles are announced?

I never do. In fact my next console will be the RetroN 5. Which will allow to play NES, Famicom, Genesis, Game Gear, Gameboy Advance Cartridges. I could care less about

any of these useless boxes that have no backward capability. I'm going back to basics with emulation and The RetroN 5. I don't think I've ever gone insane over a new system ever

in my 20 years of gaming. Well I went a little nuts when Snes/Super Famicom was created but after that I didn't really care for N64 or Ps1. Just think when you buy your 1st bussiness maybe you will feel different about the graphics, or maybe you will think "F*** this I would rather have more trees on that cliff edge that looks virtually impossible to reach!!!" and even if you could reach it, then what?? What exactly is there to do up there anyway? I suppose you could dry bone the tree seeing as you love them so fu**ing much!! Yes I guess thats what you would do then cos since you started whining about the lack of trees in certain (pointless) parts of the map i have been trying to think of something else you could do up there but aint come up with anything yet??

I mean, it's not all about graphics, but I don't want a game on an Xbox 360 to look like a PS2 game. I'm all for Gameplay>Graphics but there's a limit. If GTA V looked like the pic I posted below I probably won't buy despite all the sh*t to do, looking at outdated sh*t get's boring after while, I can't play San Andreas on my 360, I feel like I'm force my self to play so I just pop it into my PS2 so at least I know the graphics belong to that console.

You do know console is the reason why GTA got popular? You do know the money from the consoles they get out weigh the PC. You should thank Consoles for keeping GTA alive and improving it.

 

They would never put $100 Million just for a PC version. They would however put $100 Million for a PS3/360 and PC.

 

They put around 80-90 Million for RDR and that was just a console version.

 

Max Payne 3 - I heard from the forum they put over $100 million on it for PS3/360 and PC

 

GTA V - Seems like it putting the most in it.

Wait... Is this about graphics? Or about failed expectations? We were comparing pictures of the same game, not BF4 or something like that. A promo pic vs a in game pic. R* raised expectations because they've released amazing looking pictures and given the impression that that is what users will see when they play. They do this for two years straight and start showing sh*ttier quality gameplay videos. That's an expectations issue. It's like going to get fast food and your burger is a nasty compressed sh*t thing compared to a perfect picture. In the end it's the taste/texture that matters, but we still feel somewhat cheated by the fact it didn't meet our expectations. What makes it worse is that we're on the advent of a new generation with significantly more power and the promo pics could be achieved, but we don't get that... R* should have kept promo pics to true in-game rendered quality. Then release better quality if they release it for other platforms with more juice.

The only console gamers that are complaining are the new comers ( IV was their first GTA ) and the Causal crowd. I really don't see them on this forum. Maybe on other websites. It could be my luck. Who knows?

 

People don't understand that I respect that PC was the one to first have GTA but some need to respect that without consoles GTA wouldn't be this big.
