k86k Posted July 19, 2013 Share Posted July 19, 2013 Gta has always been about activities, missions, crazy stunts, map explorations, etc. As fans of the series, we've never really cared about how the game looks graphically, why now when someone shows us a couple of tree removal pics we start to worry whether or not the game is gonna be worthy? And so according to their dumb logic they think a game isnt good without the best 3d graphics. They insult the past and have no taste. They are the soul definition of Troll in the gaming scene. All across the board gamers are always going off on the graphics.. a shame really it restricts things like online player count, or allocating more time to the actual missions and activities. 3d Era was my favourite by far. I'm glad the ps4 and xbox one will change this, I hope they won't last as long as the ps3 / xbox360 but I guess their life is even longer.. If gamers truly didn't care about this stuff, why do they go nuts when new devices like consoles are announced? What's the first thing they talk about when it comes to new consoles? the "potential" for graphics. I remember back in 1997 when Grand Theft Auto came out, it was a game that pushed graphics even back then. PC version included a mode that improved the visuals for those with brand new for the time 3DFX cards. I remember me and my neighbour rushing out to get a card, and being blown away at being able to use this setting. GTA III era had amazing graphics for it's day, and really pushed beyond in scope what other games were doing at the time. No you don't need the best graphics for a game, it does however add immersion to your game. You'll always find gamers that talk about art styles/visuals to a game and if it fits with the game style. Just look at all the talk here about people preferring the 'grittier' style of Liberty City to the neon glowing lights of Vice City. Like it or not these are real gamers too. Yes, I am pissed off because I have to wait for retarded Rockstar to release a PC version. They're doing this so they can make more and more money. If V wasn't this awesome I wouldn't even give Rockstar my money. They don't deserve it anyway. And be thankful for PCs and stop insulting PC gamers.
