Rhundley
Hello. i just recently re bought this old favorent on pc from wallmart. I am using no mods and this is a hard copy, with disc in drive. I have had no problems with this game what so ever, aside from the lag issue with windows key collector. I am now on the mission "final destination" where michiel sends me to kill this supposed rat. It seems every time i cross the toll booth on the borough bridge my game sends me to the desktop. the game is still running in the background but i can't accsess it. i open the task manager and the game is not responding. This has happend maybe 50 times. Ive tried crossing while not on mission, while on mission, ive tried running though without paying, ive tried bailing out of the car, walking though, nothing is working. as soon as a touch the storm drain past the toll my game crashes. Ive tried reinstalling the game also. ps. im sure this is not a proformance issue as my pc is build well. 8gb ram 2gb graphics cards. im just lost and looking for help. thanks in advance. Miro
Do you happen to use cracks? Besides, make sure you have the GTA IV Patch 1.0.7.0 installed, and if necessary, also .NET Framework 3.5. If nothing works, also try to install the GTA IV Patch 1.0.4.0. Ultimately, a possible solution would be to try to lower you graphics to as much as possible, though I'm not sure if this will change anything. Have you tried to go to that location on a different save game? Please report back if any of the solutions I posted above helped you. Thanks! CCPD
Make new Notepad file. Name it "commandline" (without quotes). So the whole file should look like "commandline.txt" (without quotes). Open it and copy and paste the text below: -noprecache-nomemrestrict-norestrictions You can also add the command line below. -availablevidmem 2.0 If that doesn't work, try increasing the number to one of the following. -availablevidmem 3.0-availablevidmem 4.0-availablevidmem 5.0-availablevidmem 6.0etc. Save it and put it in a folder with your GTAIV.exe file.
