Last year, people got Call of Duty: Black Ops II 3 days before street date! And guess what? Same with GTA V this year. Don't worry, it's a very reliable site. It's an instant gratification thing, combined with brag rights. Especially these Xbox kiddies. Hopping on Live and having your 3 dozen friends all spam you messages once they see you playing GTA 5 will make them troll grin face all night long. I'm picking up my copy at Best Buy. Hopefully they have a midnight release or I will be extremely f*cking sad. They had one for WoW: Cataclysm and Mists so I can't imagine GTA 5 not getting one. They say they ship out pre-orders 3-4 days before release first class, so in many cases you'll get it 3-2 days early which is awesome. Will rockstar impose penalties for playing early? I hope that if anyone actually follows the TC's advice they bookmark this topic and update when they get their game. I want to come back to this topic and see the potential wall of flames. yeah a friend of mine is employer at gamestop and he said the resellers will get it on 14th September That's a Saturday, they'd get it on the 13th at the earliest or on the 16th depending on how distributors handle the shipping and they're not going to willingly break the street date unless they're given permission by the retailer, maybe sell the game without scanning it but that can cause other issues. Mom and pop or small chains are different since they don't have corporate rules and management hanging over their shoulder and have a much easier time doing things under the table. Do the not ship to America?... Whaa? By the time it arrived it'd be release day or beyond unless you wanted to pay an ridiculous amount of money for either overnight with Saturday delivery or get it the day before release while still paying a lot for shipping at the earliest, never mind paying a higher price for the game itself. Not to mention other issues, like getting hung up with Customs or a chance the game is region locked, especially if it's the XB360 version.
