I've got the collectors edition coming in the post for the 360 version, but I'll be picking up the PS3 version from my local indie game shop in Chorlton, Manchester @midnight.

 

Don't forget to take your camera/phone so you can share your event with the rest of us.

If its anything like the midnight release of GTA IV I attended, Then I need to be at my Gamestop from 6-8 pm 9/16. I wish I had a picture of that night we got there at about 10 and we were at the end of a queue that had to be 150+ people deep.

 

So I think this year my friends and I will take shifts but for a game like this the midnight release is half the fun talking with tons of other people as passionate about the GTA series as I.

Gamestop near me usually isn't all that crouded, so I'll probably show up a little before 12 and get my copy. No way I'm going at 7 or some bullsh*t like some people do.

I've never once went to a midnight release... This will be the first one I ever go to. It doesn't really matter to me anyway,

I usually stay up till like 3:30 am every night.

This, GAME have never failed to get a game to me a day early.

I have decided to pre-order from GAME online, too, so that is awesome news.

 

What is the likelihood they will deliver the game early, though, considering the release date is a Tuesday? Could GAME ship the games, whatever edition, on Friday?

Of course.. I wouldn't be able to sleep if I didn't do so. Hopefully they don't set up the game and start playing whilst we wait in line as they've done in the past. Would totally ruin the vibe.

I will not attend the midnight launch as I wait for the PC version. But even when the PC version is coming out, I will not attend the midnight launch, either. I will perhaps pre-order a copy and pick it up in the morning of the release.

I have my Collectors Edition pre-ordered & I'm planning on going to the Midnight Launch, but I hate waiting in long cues, & with GTA V being what it is there is bound to be massive queues.

 

1 question, though? What is a good time to get there? I know it depends on what store & it what Town or City, but just in general, for a big game like GTAV, what is a good time to arrive to be near the front of the queue?

Not possible even if I wanted to because my local EB is inside a mall that closes before midnight.

 

But if it's digital, which I think it will be, I will be purchasing that on PSN and be playing before 6 a.m. on the 17th while waiting for my SE to arrive. I regret nothing.

My nearest GAME store is inside a mall, too. But they have said a few times that they would be stupid not to do a midnight release. I know they haven't said yes exactly, but it may just be possible. But yeah, likely not.

I will not be attending the midnight launch extravaganza in my neighboring town; however, I have secured a Standard edition, and will promptly ascertain it on the morning of the 17th. At this point, my best assumption is that my local Gamestop will generate a pick-up line of an estimated 25-50 customers, possibly lower, from my town, and the town of Gilford. Surely there are more devout Grand Theft Auto fans in the Granite State, who are synonymous with my Grand Theft Auto: V hunger.

No point for me. I want to get it during the day and play it wide-awake and sober. Unlike recent games I've bought which I've rushed through I'm going to take it steady through GTA 5 and get truly immersed.

What's the point of waiting in line early anyways if everyone's getting it? Just so you can get it 20 mins earlier?

Can someone really tell me what's the point? You got to wait in a line and possible only be able to play it for a couple hours before being tired. Get it the next day in the afternoon with NO line and can enjoy for a longer time.
