Southern California Pop Culture References

Considering Rockstar's "Re-imagining of Southern California," do you think they are going to throw in any easter eggs or references to Charles Manson and his family? Hollywood was where the murders took place and was where Manson was most prominent. It would be interesting if they threw in a Charlie-wannabe ped into the game or something.

 

Could there also be other references to pop culture in SoCal? Maybe like Jim Morrison look-a-likes seen at the Tequila la or whatever they renamed the Whiskey A Go Go?

 

I remember San Andreas had that one ped who looked like Kurt Cobain but had an Austrailian accent. haha.

The game is one giant slab of cultural satire, so of course there'll be SoCal references!

I remember reading that you could catch a bus and do tours around the city, so ya I believe things like those under other names will be present.

GTA San Andreas had quite a few SoCal pop culture references. I am sure GTAV will too. GTA games always do a great job of emersing you in the culture of the location you're in. I just got back from LA and am looking forward to seeing how well the game captures the city's style. Only in SoCal can you seen a guy in Dickie shorts, no shirt, cowboy hat, and riding a longboard.
