Foddzy Posted July 19, 2013 Share Posted July 19, 2013 IMO GTA IV seemed a bit more character and story driven than V will be, that makes it a bit easier to tell a succinct narrative in a trailer. GTA V being more action focused naturally has actiony trailers, more flash and bang but not as involved story-wise. I think R* will give us more story based trailers before release though. We already have six trailers, counting the gameplay video. I would like to see another trailer like trailer one/two, but I don't think we'll get another one like that. Let me rephrase, not that good for GTA standards which is in a whole different ball game. People can express their opinion without feeling like they'll get flamed. As said everyone has different tastes. Anyway... OP: Personally I think "Everyone's A Rat" is GTA IV's best trailer, but we also have to remember GTA V seems like a polar opposite to GTA IV being more light hearted and not quite as intense it seems. Really the concept behind the trailers is a lot different to GTA IV. That was my favourite GTA trailer 1 because Movado is my favourite Artist. Didn't expect to hear a whole Dancehall station. I don't know why some members are so defensive of GTA series i mean if someone says something that doesn't match their opinion they flame the guy. Yeah, you say one thing bad about V and people go stupid. What I don't agree with is people saying the game will suck because the map is small or people who say IV was sh*t because of the smallest things like clothing loading times. S1LV3R_W0LF Posted July 19, 2013 Share Posted July 19, 2013 Honestly the video was cool, but mostly because of the music and almost every action scenes in it if you played the game you know they were from cutscenes, I hope this time and as Rockstar said the real action will be within the gameplay. THis trailer reminded me of some of the movie trailers we see now for movies like Fast6 or Transformers, they show a real cool trailer but we can almost figure out the ending because they use scenes from it. But I do expect 3 more character vids, where the actual focus is the mechanics that each have a special in. A driving vid for franklin, a shooting vid for michael, a flying vid OR more likely hand to hand combat vid. You know, more gameplay series vids. Maybe a trailer or two like traditional film/game trailers, like my opening post, hopefully something nearly or even more exciting and captivating. The tv, web tv, major big preview pieces and major interviews haven't even begun yet, I suppose they have in the articles side of things, but other than that, we haven't see any gametrailers, geoff keighley stuff, all that good stuff. Maybe there is a lot more to come There's under 2 months till launch. When do you think we're getting all those videos? It has served as the catalyst for my excitement and has transcended awesomeness. Of course, a plethora of surprises await us on glory Release Day. Rockstar's methodology of marketing is a tease, but an integral tease nonetheless, that will net global smiles in the end. This excites me every time. Yes, yes, and more yes. I think people need to realize that the trailers we've seen thus far has been to introduce the characters, the mechanics, and activities. Now we know the main protags, very few of the supporting cast, the premise of the game, and what we will be doing in this game. If you tap "quote" on this response and check for the tags: with the letters in the middle - that's the portion of a link you put in those tags. So to embed that trailer, you'd put the youtube tags above, and between them, you'd put just the index letters from youtube links, in your case it would be "82MtJKaEDn4" for a result of 82MtJKaEDn4 Love that trailer, but it's not pumped up, you know? It's not full of energy and adrenaline. It's more chill, the music, the tone, the slower switches of scenes - It's a great trailer, all of Rockstar's trailers tend to be top quality, but that one, move up ladies, and everyone's a rat also has been mentioned, those are energy-packed.
