brian.
Let's all have a moment for GTA IV. ~ That's probably the best, most powerful, most pumped up trailer for GTA IV. So far everything lacks this punch with GTA V. Look how awesome that trailer is. I loved the trailers so far, and they've had some action, but they have fallen short, very short, of anything that is this energetic or captivating with the scenes and music and all put together like it is - nothing seems to be as raw as this video. Think we will get more trailers like this one for GTA V? I hope for 10 more official videos and lots of gametrailers, ign, all that kind of coverage leading up, but how long do you think it will be before we get an incredibly edited action packed adrenaline trailer with scenes and happenings like this one? _SMOKEY_
I'm guessing they'll release a trailer similar to this one closer to the launch date, but I highly doubt they'll be 10 more. They'll be 2 at most, 3 if we're lucky

Tyg0903
That was better than the game was. IMO. GTAIV was not that good. Going from San Andreas with all that you could do to IV felt suffocating and dreary. Flame me if you want but im not the only one who feels this way. V is already better than IV. Let me rephrase, not that good for GTA standards which is in a whole different ball game. Edited July 19, 2013 by Tyg0903

ABGx Psyko xABG
The gameplay trailer may not have been the most action packed, but it really didn't need to be. People that have played previous GTA's already know what to expect and know those elements will stay in the game. I feel like and it's kind of obvious that Rockstar is letting our imaginations go wild about all the action and possibilities and so on that will be possible in the game, and that alone is enough to get people hyped. Either way the game is so close now that all I think people care about SEEING is the multiplayer, it should stay that way, so people can experience all the action themselves. brian.
It's cause he agrees with you, Tyg xD Jk. I know they won't do ten more videos. But I do expect 3 more character vids, where the actual focus is the mechanics that each have a special in. A driving vid for franklin, a shooting vid for michael, a flying vid OR more likely hand to hand combat vid. You know, more gameplay series vids. Maybe a trailer or two like traditional film/game trailers, like my opening post, hopefully something nearly or even more exciting and captivating. The tv, web tv, major big preview pieces and major interviews haven't even begun yet, I suppose they have in the articles side of things, but other than that, we haven't see any gametrailers, geoff keighley stuff, all that good stuff. Maybe there is a lot more to come

As said everyone has different tastes. Anyway... OP: Personally I think "Everyone's A Rat" is GTA IV's best trailer, but we also have to remember GTA V seems like a polar opposite to GTA IV being more light hearted and not quite as intense it seems. Really the concept behind the trailers is a lot different to GTA IV.

It feels like GTA V trailers are too slow paced i don't know why it seems like people who made the trailers smoked weed before making the trailer. I hope the final trailer is more fast paced and action packed.

I think it is indicative of a person who has not engaged in much healthy and structured debate in their life. I personally enjoy hearing others opinions on things such as this. There are a good number of young kids here so I do not fault them as they have a lot of hearing things they don't agree with still to come. On topic the game wasn't bad, it is still better than 99 percent of games out I just had too high of expectations going in, kinda my fault and was a little let down but still enjoyed it. San Andreas/Los Santos is definitely a warm welcome though.
XXVIII
Grand Theft Auto: V's gameplay trailer is as refined as Rockstar Games' and Take Two Interactives' inscriptions. It has served as the catalyst for my excitement and has transcended awesomeness. Of course, a plethora of surprises await us on glory Release Day. Rockstar's methodology of marketing is a tease, but an integral tease nonetheless, that will net global smiles in the end.
Fail_At_GTA
Everyone knows how action packed GTA games are. Rockstar took a different (but really good) approach to show us the different side of GTA, all the extra features and such, and Trevor flushing a foot down the crapper haha. Fail_At_GTA
GTAV Trailer #1 = still the best trailer of any GTA game! I have to disagree, the first GTA 4 trailer was awesome. I have to put the GTA 5 first trailer after Trevor's trailer and the gameplay trailer.
Meezarawcks
I think all 3 character trailers were pretty intense. Close to what you see in the trailer OP posted. Now what you need to remember is that in the GTAIV trailers they were really trying to showcase the physics and overall feel of the Rage Engine. The first time i played it was "wow" but the laggy framerate got to me, i did however finish the game (great story, no spoilers here) i hape the story has more choices this time round. No game had me more pumped than SA and i still rate that game over IV. However V has got me feeling like i did when i see SA trailer back when i was a boy, man i cannot wait to be back on the block! All three protags will het my attention though.

Raavi
Let's get something straight, GTA IV was a story driven open-world game meaning that the story was the corner stone for the entire experience. GTA V on the other hand is an open-world game at heart with a story attached to it. So it should go without saying that the trailers should project this. GTA V is more like GTA SA than GTA IV structure wise. If this turns out to be a good thing remains to be seen. – overeducated wonk who fetishises compromise
Fallout3
Ha I was thinking the exact same thing. There weren't really any epic ads for GTA V. I hope they'll release one like this because that GTA 4 ad was awesome.
