I've been reading these forums for awhile Now and DLC is like the only thing I have Seen talked about. Maybe your right in that It's too early. It really depends on how the developer utilizes DLC. Day-One DLC is a massive "f*ck-you" to consumers. Things like the L.A. Noire DLC's, which were separate cases (in my opinion, some of the best in the game), released as exclusive pre-order bonuses is just sh*tty. On the other hand, if a developer continues to put effort into a game after the initial release on things like Undead Nightmare and IV's Episodes, then I really don't see a problem. It's not like you miss out by not playing them - they're just great added bonuses that bring you back to a game that you enjoyed. If you can't appreciate that, then you're the one with the problem. Please before someone responds and says It's not then why isn't it in the main disc? Why was it announced outside of it? I really hope it something that ADDS to the gameplay. Maybe a heist that the community wanted or some new side missions. Maybe new songs. @ -=Bert=- You speak like every PC gamer. I never understood why you guys just don't buy the game. voyager Posted July 19, 2013 Share Posted July 19, 2013 well the things we have on the wishlist that seem reasonable, but are pretty much confirmed not in the game = DLC material like the pet store being open so we can buy different sorts of pets ( like a giant attack-iguana to follow you around ). i think it's pretty likely the pet store is not an option in V as it's going to be when it comes out, but highly possible as DLC. new vehicles/clothes/car mods/comedians/shows/weapons seems like a no-brainer to me. new missions / storylines of course this map is so huge that extra maps i think is unlikely. it'd be pretty sweet DLC to hop on a plane at the airport and play a mini story on some island ( i & i feel missin' badman an 'ting ) though! the blimp and other collector's/special edition goodies look more like things we can acquire later in the game on regular edition but will be 'unlocked' from the start for spending more $$ on release to me than content completely locked out for ppl who only buy the regular edition. Because The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony are DLC done RIGHT! Not adding small crap to the game and charging a huge price, actually adding a new storyline, music, places to visit, a different feel to the game, etc, all of that for the price they charged was amazing, especially when you compare it to other companies. To most people, DLC = An extra vehicle for £3.50, an extra costume for £1.20, an extra gun for £0.79, etc, but here, Rockstar provided pretty much a fleshed out game to expand the current world they already built, and that's how DLC should be. I have a 360 with a 20 gb hdd. My 360 will never handle the size of GTA V + DLC... But yes. Those dlc's were awesome. I loved them. But I dont think that current gen is viable enough for massive extra chunks of content. And they were also a commercial flop.
