Because of this, the FIB need to enclose his whole identity with anonymity. Michael... if that is his real name... may have been someone else entirely. Could his real name actually be... Claude? If so, the past 12 years years aged him a lot (2001 in Liberty City to 2013 in Los Santos). Edit: Ok, so the Claude comparison was a little bit silly, but what about being in the witness protection program? Do we know his name is actually Michael, or do we only know his persona? Matty Posted July 19, 2013 Share Posted July 19, 2013 Well, GTA characters don't cross between era's (i.e; no 3D era characters in the HD era) - so the idea that Michael is actually 'Claude' from GTA III is completely ludicrous. Kevin De Silva - 18 yrs old - Albert's fat, FPS playing gamer son. Smokes a lot of weed, has anxiety issues and a card for a bad back, very soft, very opinionated. I'm sure at least Trevor would of known Michael's real name if it were to be a code name since they're best friends and all. I just don't think R* would promote the game giving us a fake name of a protagonist. Unless it was a plot point. It would only make sense that it wasn't a code name if they had FIB talking to him as "John" or something early in the game. I know that R* STATED that htis is a different universe so no cameos from previous GTA games. BUT they also stated there was no property purchase whatsoever and then...BAM we got it. I think there's a miniscule possibility it might actually be Claude or Vercetti or something. Right now i'm just taking everything skeptical till i get my hands on the game. EDIT: before i get hate from our colorful forum i am just stating that i dont trust R* 100% with the info they're providing. Not until i play it myself. But as Franklins real name is Michael, Michael decided to call himself Trevor because Franklin thought it would be cool to give himself his fathers name. What I don't get is… who is Trevor? Is he Franklin now or what?
