MOOREMAN Posted July 21, 2013 Share Posted July 21, 2013 I see no reason it shouldnt be in the game, it only makes sense when your using explosives and high caliber weapons. I dont think rockstar would go over the top with it either like gears of war where limbs fly of all the time. Paper Mario Posted July 21, 2013 Share Posted July 21, 2013 I notice that a lot of you say this is not needed, nor is it Rockstar's style or whatever. Well.. Here's two things. 1: It's not needed? Well.. A lot of things in GTA V are not needed. But luckily they are there to make the game more fun. 2: You don't know what Rockstar wants in their game, or what they think of dismemberment and realistic gore. It's just that.. You assume things and say they are true which they are not. You guys don't speak for R*. Plus, having an awesome amount of bloody, disgusting YET realistic gore done properly in this game could make it visually more pleasing and add more fun to it. Glenni91 Posted July 21, 2013 Share Posted July 21, 2013 I remember GTA III had it, but eventually as years passed, that feature got removed in several countries, you could still dismember people in Vice City, but at San Andreas only the head would fly off from intense weapons, or katana hits. Since then there's only GTA clones that have had it, True Crime NYC having very intense gore, the limbs didn't just fly off, you could see the bones, flesh etc at where it was cut or blown off. The problem here is, because of all these GTA clones, GTA has had a much "worse" reputation in the populist media than it should get, so everything Rockstar does gets complete and utter damnation, whereas the GTA clones get more or less free reign. They're sort of pushed into a booth with this, so i wouldn't quite expect any kind of limb/chunks of meat gore just yet... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

theworldfamous Posted July 21, 2013 Share Posted July 21, 2013 I'd like it in cutscenes. It would f*ck with the Euphoria experience in gameplay. It wouldn't actually. Euphoria is already set up to support this, so it's just up to Rockstar to adapt implement it for their game. It works really well, you can sever limbs based on the impact and the character will actually try to make up for it. So a character on one leg will try to balance on that one leg. If it's not in the game, it's likely a design decision and not a technical limitation as this kind of stuff is child's play to do nowadays. Headshots of higher calibres rip open your head (don't blow it off or explode it) and explosions might rip off a leg or arm but nothing beyond that.
