I smoke weed and what makes me cool is not giving two craps what people think owned. I dont smoke it like on a weekly basis, even though i dont need any stupid cards to get some. I just.. The people who claim the OP is bragging are probably pretty young, because, as he said, it isn't a bragging point. Almost everyone I know smokes weed. Not nearly enough to be counted as pothead or anything, though - but I think it is because most people who have tried it before can appreciate the way it makes you feel. I love the stuff, personally, but I only ever have some every now and then. I support the OP though. I am guessing the reason that he thinks it would be cool is in the same way watching cartoons is like a high novelty. Which it is. I mean.....you guys never let a chance go by to tell us all how much you guys smoke weed and how it's your lifestyle. It's cool you like your vice and all but you guys don't have to shove it in peoples' faces like that. It's actually quite annoying after a while and makes people who do this look like children. It's also the exact same reason why bronies and furries are not held in the highest of esteems, they are overtly dramatic and exuberant about their interests in forums and comments. Simple comparison: I enjoy alcohol quite a bit but I only ever talked about on the forums like twice and I was pretty reserved about it. I know some people don't like alcohol because it is destructive to your body when consumed in large quantities often. This is something "pot heads" don't quite seem to grasp, most of them talk about it to the extent that it appears as bragging and when you voice even a small opinion about how you do not like weed a lot of them are militant about how that makes you a "fa**ot" and a hypocrite which is thusly followed by a command to "420 blaze it, fa**ot". In conclusion, I hope this puts a perspective on why some people are "anti smoking" around not only this forum but the internet as a whole. Also don't get angry with me about anything I stated, if it isn't true about you then that's cool but if you smoke weed and make it known to others often enough, you are guilty by association. Wouldn't it annoy you if there was a thread popping up about how people didn't like the fact that there was a medical marijuana dispensary in the game every other day and a bunch of people bragging about how they don't smoke weed? Don't even say you wouldn't post in it to try to defend your interest or express a distaste for why there are so many pointless anti-pot threads popping up. Same exact thing for this thread. There are at least 3 new threads a week dedicated to pot alone in this forum. Add 2 per week to alcohol related topics, both are equally pointless. (wow, I made a pun...) I would be annoyed by those threads because they would be stupid threads. Medicinal marijuana is a fact in Los Angeles, so saying it should not be included would be dumb. A more substantial topic, like one about wether or not smoking weed should be a part of gameplay, is something I have nothing against. I see people bragging about not smoking weed in this thread a lot. That's fine. I rather have other people not use drugs than doing so, even if I smoke weed myself. But what I am annoyed by is people shoving their petty morale down everyones throat, and whining that people are 'boasting' about smoking weed, when they are simply discussing it. If you don't like weed then ignore it. Noone is making you read about it. The difference between 'pro-pot' and 'anti-pot' is that most pot smokers definitely do not condemn people who do not smoke pot. I couldn't care less about wether people smoke pot or not. Apart from a cosmetic effect most consumables don't really affect the actual gameplay, which in turn means i really don't care either way. But whatsup with some of these americans bragging about smoking all the time? one of those threads or posts goes up everytime i read this forum. Less people smoke here comparing to the US, but if you smoke no one has a problem with it. (not everywhere in The Netherlands) In my opinion it's okay to talk about weed on a GTA forum.
