Frantz Fuchs
Don't know if this has been discussed before so lock if it has. Was browsing copies of V and came across an updated cover: I cannot remember if the 18 was there before but the Storage Required was definitely not there as it was only revealed a few weeks ago. So has it been rated or just a placeholder? ESRB have not rated it yet. Also, do any other 360 games have this Storage Required or is V the first one? vadTM
On the german version of the gameplay trailer there's a Pegi 18 logo too so...maybe?
CryptReaperDorian
Here's hoping that's 100% true. There's not much need to worry about ESRB. If the game isn't banned in Europe (isn't PEGI a UK rating board or a rating board for many countries in Europe?), then it sure as hell won't be banned in the U.S.A. Actually, video games really can't be banned in the U.S.A. They can only go "unsupported" by Sony, Microsoft, and various retailers if the game carries an "Adult Only (AO)" rating. What I do worry about, however, are the stricter countries like Australia. As for the storage part, it's been confirmed that there will be an 8 GB mandatory install on the HDD. jamieleng
Holy smokes, 18+? Didn't see that coming. Haven't seen that 'Storage required' on any Xbox game before. I recently bought a 16gb 360 branded Flash Drive & in the settings it says "Performance Warning". So I went to Xbox's & SanDisk's websites & the advice if that warning displays is "Buy an Xbox 360-branded USB Flash Drive to ensure optimal performance." gwaha
If there is a PEGI 18 + rating on the German trailer than it has officially been rated or have shown rating pending at most if it wasn't. I don't find 18 + that surprising since all other GTAs had the same exact rating. And no, PEGI is not a UK rating board but a European rating board. The UK used to have a separate rating system but this was replaced by PEGI last year.
Spider-Vice
In Cyprus age (I am 22) restriction does not exist but I'm worried about the required space It's an 8 GB install if you install just one disc and play with the other or a 16 GB install if you install both on Xbox 360. PS3 will get the 16 GB. To the rating: Yeah obviously it'll be 18+, but it'll most likely be uncut in all of Europe. Even SR4 is uncut in Germany and all the prior Saints Row games were cut, and I can't remember that GTA was ever cut, maybe in the early days but the latest GTA's were always uncut, so no worries. That doesn't make sense. If the Xbox has two discs, each 8 GB (one mandatory, the other optional, just mandatory to play) that total 16 GB, why would the PS3 have a bluray with just 8 GB? PS3 will have the full 16 GB, except it's on one bluray I suppose. TThe detail was sent by R* on an email to someone here. OT: All GTA's have been PEGI 18. It's likely it's already been rated in Europe, after all we're near release. But it was also rated USK 16 (instead of 18). Doesn't mean much though since even adult games are still being censored in Germany (and Australia apparently). Yeah, Max Payne 3 was censored as well (civilians were immortal and that was about it - the violence level was still there). Let's hope for the best for V. Masher8559
GTA IV was 18 in the UK, I can see just by looking at the box on my desk right now. I'm pretty sure the others were 18 too, not surprised at all it's 18, in fact i would have been surprised if it was under 18.

And it's not known whether the game is also 15-16GB on the PS3, as BluRay has more storage and therefore it could happen that videos/audio have a higher quality, just like R* did with GTA IV. DarkDayz
I didn't think the storage would cause such a fuss. I have about 150gb of storage on my PS3 currently, no problems. V is worth deleting some things for even if you haven't got enough. As for the rating, im in the UK. Every GTA game has been 18 here, no suprise. Why do you worry about Australia? Are you getting that version? Don't you worry, We will get it. + I think this will be the first GTA Game in Australia to get the R18 rating. To bad the guy at my local game store let me placed a order for it while i'm under 18 (i'm 15) Perhaps the stores have been told what rating the games will be. I just wonder if I will be able to pick up my copy or will they shoot their heads off at me for being underaged. But it GTA keeps it's rythem then it should still be MA15+ (Mature Audience 15 years or over) We have had GTA games in our country with the PEGI 18 rating, But they were imported from the UK and not Made in Australia itself. PHOENIXZERO
Yeah, there should be no reason for Australia to get hit by censorship again given they finally implemented the R18 rating for video games. But you never know with the nannies who make the decisions. Rockstar has been at this for a long time now, they know where and what limits they can push.
