We did get changes. Planes are back, mechanics are more fluid. In fact, you know what change we did get? More fluid driving mechanics. As I recall, people seem to have hated that. DarkDayz Posted July 18, 2013 Share Posted July 18, 2013 (edited) Well people will say no to it, but theoretically it needs to be in, there can't be gas canisters without the option of filling them up with gas really. It's been confirmed that you can light gas trails from the canisters. So being able to fill up tanks from gas stations is a must. I don't want them to just be randomly scattered about. Cars running out gas, probably not. Because real life, a tank may only fill up enough to cover the whole of the city once, which could get annoying quick. That isn't innovation. Are you stupid? It's an annoying feature that nobody likes. Constantly filling up fuel is the sh*ttest feature in any open world game. If it was, molotovs would have confirmed a gas mechanic in most previous GTAS. But they didn't. It's busywork. That's all it is. A boring chore. Nothing more, nothing less. The reason people play games like freespace 2 and assassin's creed 2 and ace combat and batman arkham city is that they want to be immersed in a world that's different to our own. A world where we're batman or a cool assassin or an ace pilot. Sure, this would increase the immersion, but would reduce the point in doing so, since most people play games to get away from chores like this. Every car will release the same amount of fuel if you puncture the gas tank (which won't happen during a car crash, only from bullets). Maybe trucks will spill more fuel. It's not filling up the tank for the sake of replicating real life. It's filling up a canister with a view to further do something else, it has a point, in this case to create gas trails to light and blow something up. Just the same as going to ammunation to buy bullets in a sense. The game will focus on preparation to achieve a goal and also includes customisation of weapons, so why wouldn't they include this as a way to further add to your weapon inventory and cause havok.
