lpgunit
Are you using a crack? Also, do you have any script mods installed, especially ELS?

unc13bud
thanks for posting your specifications right off. there are a lot of things which could cause the symptoms you posted, but the first question is: what are your vehicle sliders set to? 100? turn them down to 1. dansgas1000
Install either Patch 4 or Patch 7, you should get a lot of performance on Patch 4 but nice shadows and less performance on Patch
ryohazuki
This is the EXACT problem I have. Can you try recording a clip and playing it back on the game, and see if it still does it? Also, what are your shadows on? I only get this problem really bad when my shadows are on very high. The game runs smooth, but the camera acts exactly like what you said. Maybe if you actually also read what I said, the game RUNS SMOOTH, the camera just moves back and forth as if it's trying to catch up. There is no frame rate dropping below even 30fps, it stays smooth, only when I drive it does this. Also since you're so smart, why is my laptop capable of running on very high shadows yet my desktop isn't? It grinds my gears when people jump to a conclusion. unc13bud
at last poster, are you using your computer montior for both the 2500k machine and also your laptop? what resolution is your laptop?

ryohazuki
at last poster, are you using your computer montior for both the 2500k machine and also your laptop? what resolution is your laptop? I'm not using my computer monitor for both, but I just recently changed my PC monitor so I don't think it's an issue with that as I had the problem with this one, and the one before it as well. When I installed ENB series mod and turn on v sync its fairly smooth for the most part and none of that occurs. I also downgraded to patch 4. unc13bud
i am saying gta iv behaves differently on different machines, at different resolutions. if your laptop's resolution is less than the 2500k machine of course it performs differently. but now i see you are into installing mods, so i give up, because of course installing any sort of modification is possibly going to make the biggest difference of all - even on similarly/like specification machines. Lol, I think you slightly misunderstood. with the ENB mod it actually runs better like it should. In vanilla, no mods, it has that camera moving back and forth problem as if the game is trying to keep up with whats going on. The laptop actually runs at 1080P and my desktop monitor is only 1600x900
