Whats the deal with this drill the gas tank thing?

I read it in the other topic and somewhere else before that. Says you can drill the tank and drive into a group of enemies and run away and watch it blow. I dont get it.

So are we like, stuffing a molotov and letting it trail somewhere, before we get out and light the beginning of the trail with a zippo?

If thats it then thats cool, but I fail to see how thats really something new. I mean we could strap a C4 to the car in all the other games, even 6 or 7 if we wanted to, and then really watch it blow.

But I mean something new like this I can't fret on either, I guess we'll see how it goes.

Just because I'm stupid and I can't think for myself, someone tell me some of the possibilities?

Lighting a fire is better than just pressing a button.

Maybe we have a fuel tank we can pour anywhere and light up trees or animals.

It sounds to me like this is one thing you'll be able to do on a mission.

I doubt if you can just do it on every car. That would take a lot of buttons.

I think the drill the tank was a mistranslation. R* confirmed in CVG's GTAVoclock

interview last week that we can shoot gas tanks on cars causing them to leak

fuel and leave trails which we can ignite etc. etc.

Wouldnt shooting gas tank will cause the cars to explode ?

Nah that's just movie magic. In reality cars do not explode if you shoot them like that. They aren't bringing back the

San Andreas "Shoot the tank" equals instant explosion either however. Also we don't know to the extent of how this feature will

work in game in V.

As said, gas tanks will not explode in real life if you shoot them.

However, you can shoot a tank, then after it leaks out quite a bit, shoot it again and possibly get a spark to ignite the gas fumes, as they are what's highly combustible.

Or, you could use a tracer round, they can cause a tank to ignite, but not always with the first shot.
