WBdink
Hi everyone, I tried for so long to Log-In to my old GTA IV forum member account 'acegameforums'. Done trying lol. Anyway, I scroll through here when ever I have the opportunity and read through loads of these topics, all of which are interesting points and discussions as I would expect. However, I do not have the time often and I have not seen much covered on SoundFX. Through past GTAs, sounds effects have meant a lot to me as well as all other games I play and enjoy. When GTA III and GTA Vice City were out I was very satisfied, at least for the time period it was out. However, when San Andreas on I was EXTREMELY disappointed in both the sound effects for cars and guns especially. They sound weak, ''toy-like", and plain unimpressive. It never flawed my expereince in such a way I couldn't call this my favorite series obviously but is was a let down, I was hoping for more in IV especially. The recent gameplay trailer sounds good (with the exception of the chopper take off seen and Micheal's machine gun). But I also never trust trailers. They ALWAYS sound better in the trailers released pre-release. We may not be working with next gen consoles but we have come far since GTA IV. Honestly, enough on-and-on, what do you think? Will the sound effects surely improve? Max Payne 3 was great, will they incorporate sounds or be on par with the ones found in that game? Let me know. Thanks! I'm glad to be back on the forum, especially because we're only 2 months away! Edited July 18, 2013 by WBdink
Twiggy123
In my opinion, Rockstar only improves after each game. I expect it to be at least on par if not better than MP3.
WBdink
I don't know, from past gen games of course but, San Andreas was a major downgrade from GTA III and Vice City, I don't know what happened there. GTA IV was okay, far from realistic, I mean who remembers the glock? I'm actually power playing though IV now to get tot he DLC I never played, so I sure as hell remember lol
Von Claus
Yeah, SA's sound was pretty annoying and GTAIV was better but still not good enough. I think R* will get it right, especially since they had GTA4 and RDR to experiment with (I think RDR and GTA4 were made to experiment with aspects that would eventually be incorporated in to V). Simply put, I think they'll get it right this time around.
