I know this is off topic but this part seemed the most popular, basically my problem is i'm having trouble with my dial-up modem, basically it connects me to the internet but it keeps on going off? I really don't understand this stuff it's too complicated and at this rate the Internet will become so unpopular no one will use it in the future, but in the meantime I need to sort out my problem, is it my web browser (Lynx v2.0) or my computer (PowerBook 160) I'm at a whim here people, please help. Are you using a 28.8k or a 56k modem, either way it could be your Internet Service Provider's dial up number might not be working or sometimes they kick you off after 2 hours so others can get a chance to get online. But you are right it took me about 30 minutes last night to download a wad file for Doom I wanted to try out, the file was massive 12Mb, although a mate of mine was telling me that he was going to get one of those fancy ISDN connections, it's going to cost him about £200 a month, fancy bastard. He told me about a TV show over there that's called The Red Green Show, but he doubts the show will make it over here to America or become very popular in his city. MattDet Posted July 18, 2013 Author Share Posted July 18, 2013 (edited) I just found out that 1995 will be the last year for superstations (for those who don't know what they are, it's a television station that has a feed that broadcasts outside of the market the station is in, mostly found in the US). Plus, I just heard about this person who took many photographs today of businesses and other interesting sights around my region-all while it was raining! And speaking of Metro Airport (from an earlier post), I just found out a new crosswind runway is being built there!
