In the two missions covered in previews he stole bonds from an armoured car for the FIB, and extracted an IAA prisoner for the FIB... He's doing favours for them as a part of the deal. This implies he's not in the Witness Protection Program for being a snitch, in other words there is no need for him to change his name. Anyway, the Albert de Silva stuff came from the Rush casting call. In the same call sheet: Trevor was Simon, Jimmy was Kevin, Ron was Jerry and Simeon was Harut... They used fake names for every single character, not just Michael. Edit ^No way it's Tommy. In 2013, Tommy Vercetti would be 62. That twist makes no sense. Yes, he makes a deal that sends Sonny (Who is dead BTW) to prison. Even after he's in almost full control of Vice City, he needs protection from whatever. Then 40 years later, he ages 2 years. Also, it's bee hinted he got a ''deal'' with FIB to go into witness protection which wouldn't obviously be a real WP, so he wouldn't have to change the name or anything. Not ratting anyone out or actually having skeletons in his closet that would make him concerned about his family's safety. It was just a way out for him. Exactly what I'm thinking, but people around here seem to think the only way he could've robbed banks and stayed out was to snitch on others. The guy died, which prompted the former's retirement from crime. This would also fit with the tattoo on Trevor's arm. He's honoring a lost friend. This could be it! I thought after the first trailer and hoped that it was Tommy, but as mentioned before Sonny died, did you play Vice City? I've read that Tommy was 35 in '86 (not from here but other places), so he'd be in his early 60's if he was still alive. I know R* stated that no old gen characters would be in this gen, bit what if R* created a different form of Vercetti? What if the story of VC is a different form of Vercetti, and Michael is the new form of Tommy.
