So are weapon attachments useful outside...

Someone just mentioned something that inspired this question, it made me curious. I haven't heard much news about police AI, unless I just totally missed it. Basically, if I were to walk down the street and shoot someone in the face with a silenced weapon with no police around, would I get away with it? Normally in GTA games, the police sort of just magically know where crime occurs regardless of witnesses, time, or logic.

So has there been any kind legit news about this?

i think the silencer will help to get away with things

another thing i wonder tho is if scope is for looks or if u can zoom in more or what does it do?

Exactly. I'd imagine that with the right attachments, you'll be able to pull off snipings without getting unwanted attention (unless you kill too many people at once, someone spots you, or authorities come to investigate the area)

i think its gonna switch to 1st person zoomed in when youre aim down the sights. Like in MP3.

With or without a silencer if you fly a chopper at 3 am to a rooftop and snipe someone 20 floors down you would be able to get away easily.

I'm sure that silencers will allow you to commit crimes with less likelihood of being discovered. Flashlights will do a lot of good in the dark, of course. Seeing the deer in the gameplay trailer drinking from a pond/river, you can clearly see how low the light level already is at sunset. It will probably be next to impossible to see in the forests at night without a flashlight.

Dangerous and sad

I was wondering if it's possible to add a silencer and laser sight on the same gun i saw one on Images and it was sick!

Cant wait to go wandering the forests/woodlands at night with shotgun & flashlight attachment!

I think I remember seeing somewhere that the police ai will be more realistic in the matter that

you won't get stars so easily if you kill someone where no one see's it happen. I'm not sure where

I remember reading/hearing that though.

Well since other pedestrians reports crime to the cops, it may be hard to get away with it but yeah, a silencer should help you get away.

I will be looking to see if customized weapons will be in multiplayer. Another feature to compete with COD multiplayer.

I sure hope it doesn't become like Call of Duty, why turn GTA's shooting in a first person shooter? give accuracy bonuses for different sights, a 1x red dot could make the gun slightly more accurate whilst a 4x ACOG type could give a bit more zoom when you click one of the sticks to aim like in GTA IV, but without turning it into 'COD on the streets'

To answer your question: yes.

And info you missed about police AI is that they now have a line of sight system in the game for police, so theoretically, what they don't see or hear they shouldn't know about (unless a person nearby calls them).

When you're shooting a gun there's a red circle on the map that shows the range in which your weapon can be heard (seen in gameplay trailer when Franklin is having a shootout) and silencers will obviously reduce that circle significantly.

Though you'd need to make sure the alleyway is away from pedestrians, because the circle would still be fairly large.
