Showstopper 26
Excited for way more than three things. My excitement more stems from what I hope for than what was actually confirmed I'm hoping for decal customisation and street racing with Franklin. None of this is confirmed. However I'm also excited for Michael. Him having a house and family sounds brilliant, seems we'll have a safehouse that you can actually stay entertained in for some time. He's got tennis courts, a family and a telly. Nice. Excited for the multiplayer, just has to be good. And what I'm not excited about. First, I'm concerned about the size of Los Santos. Rural environments are only fun for so long, and in this case they'll only be fun if the driving is good, which brings me to my next point. If the driving's arcadey I'll be disappointed. A maxed out car should e harder to drive, not easier. And finally, I'm concerned about the approach they're taking DLC wise. Personally, it'd be best if they just released the game and let us all play it. It'd be bad in my opinion if they started bombarding us all with DLC and next gen releases. It just ruins the vibe imo. Instead of everyone playing one big game, everyone's playig little games with bits and pieces that not everybody has. As for next gen, that'd ruin the multiplayer a lot. Instead of x amount of people split across 2-3 platforms, it's x amount of people split into 4-5. Multiplayer as a whole would just be less lively. What DLC approach have they announced? Positives: Everything Negatives: Nothing
wwinterj
Looking forward to: - Blaine County - Desert, mountains, woods, wildlife, etc - Customisation - Cars, bikes, protagonists, pets, etc - Heists - Planning, taking different routes and so on. Somewhat concerned about: - Switching characters - If I don't switch characters after everything I do I hope I don't miss anything or I'm locked out of stuff. I'd like to spend some time with a character, switch and then do the same with others without doing in to frequently as this brakes immersion. - No landlocks - While I like the map is open from the start I normally use landlocks as stopping posts before unlocking a new island and moving the story forward. I hope the major heists can serve this purpose and that I can do all one protagonist missions up unto that point, switch character and then repeat without missing anything and having the main story move forward. I hope the main story will move forward for all three protagonists one I complete a main heist that way I can use them as I would have landlocks. This in a way ties in with my first concern. - Lack of things to do - Yes we only know a small bit about what we can do do and it all sounds great but with such a big map I hope it'll be utilized to it's full potential. Matty
I'm excited for everything that GTA V is offering and I can't say that I'm not looking forward to anything. If I had to pick a top three though: 1. Underwater exploration - It will add a whole new level of exploration to GTA V given how detailed the underwater environment will be; I will probably end up loosing hours exploring the underwater environment and searching for the hidden treasures that have been left for us to find. 2. Business/property investment/buying - more ways to spend the money that we earn. I just hope we will be able to upgrade the businesses that we buy, GTA: Vice City Stories style (but expanded). 3. In-game trading/stock market - more ways to potentially earn money; and am very interested to see how exactly this will work in GTA V - and whether buying enough stocks in certain companies will lead to perks. For example, whether buying enough stocks Ammu-Nation will mean discounted weapon or attachment prices.
Karato2300
Too many to count, but if I really had to say: 1.) The stats/skills - These mean each character will feel more than just a reskin of one another 2.) The humor - While I'm not like those whiny babies who bemoaned GTAIV and the other recent Rockstar games for being all serious, I do admit it's very relieving to see the humor making a reappearance after getting downplayed for the last few years. 3.) The activities - Feels like the world will really have much to do. This was something I won't deny was lacking in GTAIV, was that there were plenty of places to see, but so little to do (like that busted ass amusement park). Have they said exactly where the sharks will be? I would hope they don't get intrusive like the cougars in Red Dead Redemption. While I wouldn't mind sharks being the border patrol for those who go way off the map (and let's face it, it's often impossible to return to land if you head too far off to sea), but I'd hate to be gobbled up every time I'm trying to check out some sunken ruins or just chill out swimming. Of course, I imagine they must have some means of fighting back underwater.
WBdink
Excited: Car and gun custumizatiom Carnage More like a racing game Least Excited: Multiplayer ( only if my bros get it ) Thats it really..Sound effects need to be better, if not improved, I'll be majorly downed Bonus; Kendrick Lamar is most likely gonna hit the soundtrack, I mean it's Cali
Karato2300
Least Excited:Multiplayer ( only if my bros get it ) I'm with you on that. As fun as multiplayer can be at times, I've never felt extremely drawn to it. Though as long as it doesn't factor into things like 100% and most of the trophies, I'll be fine. I don't think anything has specifically been said with regard to shark locations other then that sharks are present in the waters around Los Santos. I'd imagine though that guns and everything would be able to be fired under water (hopefully) - not to mention that there is a Submarine that can be used by the player to explore underwater, which I presume would also offer the player protection from sharks and other ocean dangers. Not too sure about firing underwater, since most firearms can't work underwater. Though I guess maybe they'd forgo that sense of realism so players aren't entirely helpless. Though of course, we could wind up with a harpoon guns.

Karato2300
3. Jet spamming 12 year olds That's why the first month or so should be spent griefing little sh*ts who try to abuse those things, or any other kind of obnoxious spammers. Of course, I can imagine R* will have people in place to ban those who attempt to exploit things in the game that would just grate on the players who want to have fun.
