corruption3d Posted July 17, 2013 Share Posted July 17, 2013 Basically i have the actual game brought from steam but in mission 'logging on' i can't use any of the computer terminals.I believe this fact was to stop pirate copies and stuff of the game which was implemented by rockstar (or so ive read about) but im playing a steam copy of the game Help please? When you go to [email protected] and approach a computer, does the game inform you to use 'E'? Do you have some mods installed? uncredited Posted July 18, 2013 Share Posted July 18, 2013 (edited) Here is what I found by Rockstar Toronto: If you are experiencing the internet cafe issue, where the computer cannot be accessed by pressing "E", make sure you are using a legitimate copy of GTA IV PC. If you have a legitimate copy of GTA IV PC and you are still experiencing the issue, please make sure you are not using a cracked launcher (ie. the "no disc" launcher). I would recommend to check the content of your installation thanks to Steam. If everything is alright then, try to reinstall the game (since you do not really know if mod are installed) for you can still keep your savegames. If it is not already done, try to update/install GFWL and also play the game as administrator and make sure the exe is not partially stuck by your anti-virus.
