Evil.Tim Posted July 17, 2013 Share Posted July 17, 2013 On a different gaming forum, I saw a rough translation of the article from that Japanese magazine, and it seems to mention that dogs can die or get lost and that we can easily replace them by buying new ones from a pet store. So Chop might not be a permanent part of the game, and is maybe just a generic name for a dog and we can name them ourselves. Also, in the same article, it is mentioned that there are over 15 types of animals, with "dogs" perhaps being one of those types but with many breeds within that one type. The same might go for "birds", "fish", "cats", "rodents" etc. Don't take my word for it, though. This was not a completely reliable source. I also wonder if only Franklin has a dog follow him, or if all three characters can have their own dogs.
