Getzmunney
LA has no rich side. Its all like a big turd with glitter.Rich people in front of red light in Lambo's letting poor people cross the road. Its all mixed up, theres a huge gap between rich and poor. Middle class doesnt exist anymore in those areas. And I think that theme is a match made in heaven for a good Grand Theft Auto game Middle class does exist in L.A.
Omar777i
A nice big fancy mall with a lot of fancy cars parked? Import dealerships expensive condos and high rise apartments. Kwandilibro
A million ain't sh*t when you have houses easily hitting for $20 million+. Where I live there are million dollar homes that are still middle class. You still have a lot of money, no? There's a house in North Carolina, the Biltmore Estate. I'm sure that costs hundreds of millions. So does that make almost everyone in Beverly Hills, Hollywood middle class? My god some of you people... This is what I was thinking. Just because there are areas that outdo them doesn't mean they are classified as middle class. That's like a rich guy calling me lower class. I'm middle class, where do people get off with this lower/middle class bullsh*t, do they even know what they're talking about? It's hilarious! And to these guys claiming Rockford Hills isn't wealthy take a look at this: Vinewood is wealthy too, it has world famous hotels! Hell even Rockford Hills has that! And this area looks pretty high end: @Official General, yup! Million dollars homes doesn't make you rich. That just means the sh*t's usually overpriced. Cut the crap, you're trolling. Alright I'll let you win this one so you can feel good about yourself but come to NY. All I gotta say.
DryJohnson45
That's considered middle class? probably because high class is like michaels neighborhood I'd say you're right. There's a difference I suppose. well it depends where your from, like where im from that would be considered HIGH class, if you live in a mansion twice the size of michaels then they would be lower class, so in all honesty it depends where your from Well, I'm broke af and always have been broke and only make low income and all that bullsh*t so I consider that middle class section, high ass class. Nevertheless, I know a number of families with million dollar homes who are in fact NOT rich, nor are they millionaires. They got the house when it wasn't worth that much, and now it is. Also I think were talking about the section setting and not how much money the person owns because most likely, there won't be anyone owning the house in the world of GTA it will just be there. Gnocchi Flip Flops
There should be a lot of decent/high-end cars spawning around Rockford especially Portula Drive. Just skip to 11:20 in this video and you see a bunch of awesome cars on Rodeo Drive alone. There was even a Bugatti but supposedly a store on that street owns the car. The golf club should have some laid back cars like Jaguar's and Aston Martin's. Maybe a lot of Mercedes, Cadillac's, and BMW's. I still want Veyron's, Koenigsegg's, and Cheetah's to be hard to find though. Even on Rodeo Drive they're not so common. Hell Koenigsegg's are rarer than almost anything in the United States. jsaba2018
Hey bro, nice to see you made a topic that complements mine! rich n poor sides lol. Anyways my contribution is: -if your in a super sexy car people pull out their phones to take pictures -lots of celebrities and paparazzi swarming them out the front of their houses -buyable mansions -be able to own several nightclubs and get revenue from each -maybe even a Los santos west coast rap feud with rappers going to parties with their entourages -boat parties -etc
Fisha695
there are casinos in Los Angeles, right? Nope, well not traditional casinos (as in slots & table games), there are a few "Card Rooms" which are like Poker & Blackjack and card games only. If you want a real casino you have to go down to the San Diego & Salton Sea area as there are a bunch of full casinos (Tables, Slots, Cards, etc) down there. Yeah those Hyper cars should be rare as hell, 9F's, Comets, Infernus' and the such shouldn't be too hard to find in the richer areas, not super common mind you but not exactly impossible to aquire. That said the store you mentioned won't be the owners of that car for long. Anyways I have a feeling that owning houses, and allot of nice cars in V will make you feel like you should be on I'm Rich in GTAIV, I was allways thought 'f*ck why can't I have all of this sh*t?' when seeing those celebs in that show, now I can be like that in GTA again lol. byeo
As long as i can drive up into the hills where the HUGE mansions are, pull up my sports car and look out over the city of Los Santos then i'll be happy. What i don't want is just a handfull of mansions which go halfway up into the hills. I want to be able to drive around looking down my nose at the pesents of LS and if one walks out infront of my car, i can get out and pop them one in the knee. I want to be dirty rich and the only way i can spend all my cash is via high class call girls and lap dancing clubs. You can keep the ghetto, the only time i'll be there is when im flying over it in my chopper.

dre91
1. Plastic surgery - Well, ever since V was announced to be based on modern day Los Angeles and Southern California, I've been expecting some kind of reference to plastic surgery and more involvement of this medical branch in the game because: a) of the fact that Beverly Hills is THE mecca of plastic (more precisely cosmetic surgery) not just in The USA, but in the whole world. b) plastic surgery has experienced a significant increase in popularity in the last 10-15 years (in modern day Southern California particularly) and it's a luxury consumed by celebrities (and others with the financial capacity as well) - We definitely know that it's not gonna be present in V in the way it was in Saints Row where you go to a plastic surgeon's office and can completely change the physical appearance of your character as customization of the 3 protagonists is not going to be available to such an extent. - However, I think we could maybe expect R* to blend it into the game a little bit more than in previous GTAs perhaps through one of the following: 1. If I am correct, there was an article from a game magazine (don't remember which one exactly, might've been a non-english speaking country maybe) after the second demo had been shown to the press around 2 months ago in which it was stated that some scars from combat could stay on the protagonists forever or something like that. Maybe some of this has been proved to be a rumor in the meanwhile and I haven't noticed it, so don't quote me on this one, but if this is the case, then maybe plastic surgery could be something we could spend our money on to remove scars completely or to a certain extent depending on the severity of damage, of course. 2. I expect to see cosmetic surgery advertisements throughout the city particularly in the area of Rockford Hills and Vinewood (Hills) 3. At least R* creating a parody on plastic surgery on a TV channel or something like that 4. Plastic surgery might've been the reason for the little but noticeable change in Michael's face from trailer 1 to trailer 2 and Michael could've gotten aplastic surgery all as part of his "mid-life crisis bullsh*t" (maybe not off a mission, but on a mission)... or, of course, it could've been R* just changing the way he looks in the meanwhile due to a lot of people saying he looks too old for a protagonist. These are all on the level of hypotheses, I'm not saying any of it has been confirmed, I just think that it could be a cool little new feature in the game characteristic to the "rich area" of Los Santos 2. Auctions Apart from being able to buy a highly valuable super car in a dealership, I think it would be cool to purchase some very rare cars and other highly valuable and rare items through auctions in Rockford Hills and other rich parts of LS. Maybe some of this stuff could be used for heists or simply for random fun, but expensive auctions could be an interesting new way to spend money in a gta game maybe... Yeah, I agree completely that we could expect a lot of the stuff already mentioned in the first post and in other posts in this topic by others to appear in this part of LS (lots of exotic cars, but R* should make some very rare to track), strip malls with a whole lot of enterable expensive clothing stores etc. I would love to see V having burglary missions similar to those in SA that we could take part in, not just through story missions, but as side missions as an extra revenue source as well. Expensive nightclubs with the ability to spend a whole lot of money on nightlife. I hope there's gonna be more than just Michael's house as the real estate we can own in the rich part of LS. Hopefully, R* will manage to depict that amazing good life Entourage feeling as much as possible. Anyone who's a fan of the show knows what I'm talking about. Whatever the case, the rich part of LS including Rockford Hills along with Vinewood/Vinewood Hills and even the GTA Marina Del Rey equivalent (even if some might not consider it high class) is definitely the part I look forward to the most and where I plan to enjoy spending most of my time at the moment. Awesome topic, OP! Edited July 18, 2013 by dre91

On the contrary we do have the Hustler Casino in Gardena, which im sure the city will be a small strip in the game Hustler Casino is nothing but a Card Room, there are actually only 2 types of legal Casinos in California, the Card Rooms (Poker, Blackjack & other Card Games only) and Indian Casinos (Full blown real casinos with Slots and Table Games in addition to Card Games). All 8 Casinos in LA County are Card Rooms only. If you want a full blown casino (Indian Casino in CA since they don't allow private ones other then Card Rooms) then you have to go outside of LA. Imperial, Riverside & San Diego counties are 3 counties close to LA (Imperial & Riverside is where the Salton Sea aka the Alamo Sea is located) so there is a chance some of the casinos from there may be included. The ones in Riverside are more Vegas-like (as in big fancy resort hotels) whereas those in Imperial county appear to be just smaller warehouse/club/box type buildings that are mainly gambling and not the Vegas-like resort type of experience.
