K20
"Like in Red Dead, triggering the mission is achieved by walking to a question mark on the mini-map, and this particular stranger is an A-list celeb called Lacy Jonas, hiding behind a trailer, nervously eyeing up paparazzi on the corner where the alleyway meets Vinewood Boulevard. Her request is simple: grab yourself a car, pick her up and zoom her past the waiting photographers before they can get her snapped." sounds fun... i'll probably end up running her over. Matty
Most of the info here is repeated, but there are some new tidbits here from what I can see. Summary of new info below (bolded parts, as far as I know, are new) for those who don't want to read the whole thing): Character-switching is handled by a weapon wheel that sits on the lower right corner of the screen. You hit up on the right stick to control Franklin, right to switch to Trevor, and left to control Michael. Character special abilities can be activated by clicking L3. Franklin starts at the bottom of the criminal ladder; repossessing cars for a dodgy Armenian named Simeon Yetaria. Cash machines can be used to check the bank balances of the protagonists. You can pick up hitchhikers to motor around the countryside with, before dropping them off at their ideal destination. Playing as Michael - ATM's can be robbed via a mini-game, if we please. Internet cafes are out. You instead can browse the web (including in-game social media) and watch video on your character’s mobile phone. Seems silly to drive to one when I am sure our character has a smartphone. That way I can look at property listings on the fly!
Freezer89
• [...] Armenian named Simeon Yetaria. And we still don't know the last names of Michael and Franklin... • Playing as Michael - ATM's can be robbed via a mini-game, if we please. What about Trevor and Franklin? • Internet cafes are out. You instead can browse the web (including in-game social media) and watch video on your character’s mobile phone. Not according to the gameplay trailer - among other hints there is a mouse cursor. Unless of course this was on a personal laptop/PC.
AZAZEL
As for checking your balance, isn't the money listed on the HUD anyway? This was very much the case in IV, where ATMs were completely useless, but I think they have had some added usefulness with the whole stock trading thing and whatnot. In the gameplay video it looked seamless, but just pressing a direction on the right stick is weird because isn't the camera controlled with right stick? Weapon wheel left bumper/L1 and character wheel right bumper/R1 maybe?

Matty
What about Trevor and Franklin? I guess we would be able to. It is just that part of the preview/Q&A was specifically talking about Michael. That is unless, of course, robbing ATM's is one of the things that only Michael can do. Not according to the gameplay trailer - among other hints there is a mouse cursor. Unless of course this was on a personal laptop/PC. On page three: Houser says dating is unlikely to make a return, and internet cafes are out, too. Now, just like in real life, you can browse the web (including in-game social media) and watch video on your character’s mobile – accessed, as ever, by tapping up. Email and contacts also return as navigation options, and photos can be uploaded to the Social Club in this way, too. But yeah, you could possibly be right about the protagonists being able to use personal computers/laptops at their own homes/safehouses in addition to being able to browse the internet on their mobile phones. CM_Kimmy
I like the idea of picking up hitch-hikers. It also mentiosn the size of the map is three times that of rdr so the countryside must be massive.

urbanfire
I don't get how L3 is the button for special powers. Does that mean L3 replaces the crouch button when playing michael/trevor and replaces the horn when driving with Franklin? That seems... silly. Imagine trying to crouch behind cover with michael, only to realise you've activated the slomo effect, then end up dying...
