Zugzwang
How long do you guys think they'll still be making games for Xbox 360/ PS3? I don't think people will be very eager to switch over to PS4/Xbox One so I'm curious to see if game companies just stick with current gen games or if they move on. Wolf of Badenoch
They'll probably stick with the current gen for 1-3 years after the next-gen consoles are released. I don't think we'll see the kind of long-lasting support for the PS3 as we did for the PS2. But hey, you never know what might happen.
MWC
Well considering the last PS2 game is coming out this year 13 YEARS after release, i this we will see PS3 and Xbox 360 games for at least 4-5 more years
Vercetti42
The current-gen consoles have a lifetime upto 2015. I can see MS stop supporting the 360 a year after release though, they didn't focus on the Xbox much after the release of the 360. PS1 was supported for 10 years till the last release FIFA 05. PS2 was supported for 13 years. PS3 was released in 2006, has a life span till 2015 which is about nine years, I expect it to go to double figures though. Xbox, meanwhile had a life span of 8 years (not counting on the ending of Xbox Live support and out of warranty consoles, which if accumulated would be 10 years, but MS started to stop supporting it right at the release of the 360 and the last game was NFL 09. So it had a rough life span of 5-8 years).
iNero
Well considering the last PS2 game is coming out this year 13 YEARS after release, i this we will see PS3 and Xbox 360 games for at least 4-5 more years FIFA 13 is still comming to PS2. and as PC still uses the old engine ( while next gens get the new one ) I gues they will still port the following titles to PS2 and current gen as long as the PC wont get the new engine. which can take a few years. but then again, FIFA is almost the only game that did get released on PS2 after 360/ps3 did arrive

Well there are some games that release on the old gen after the release of the new gen but mostly sports games like FIFA are usually the last games for the console.
