fridaynightscream
I'm f*cking pissed. I suck at GTA games, I've never made it that far, and if this game is as hard as GTA III and we don't get to play all of them till more than half-way through, then it looks like I won't be able to play all 3 characters Thanks Rockstar. I was excited for 3 playable characters, but it looks like I'll be stuck with one. I hope you good GTA players enjoy playing as all 3 of them, while I will be stuck with just one. stux56
GTA games are definitely not that hard lol... Just put in some more effort and you'll be fine. Plus, I doubt the 'unlocking' of characters is going to take very long..

Nameless Foot Soldier
Seriously? Hell even if you're that unbelievably bad, there are still cheats for a problem such as that. Wait, did you even ever beat the IV trilogy? Aren't there features that you won't enjoy? Lastly, I'm pretty god damn sure the characters (if you need to unlock them) will all be unlocked very early. I honestly think GTA IV is pretty easy but some reason I never beat it, San Andreas has some really hard missions but some really easy ones, but GTA III is really hard. I'm gonna try to beat GTA IV before GTA V comes out, and I had to delete San Andreas off my Xbox 360 hard drive so I could have space for GTA V with the 8GB hard drive requirement, which sadly I still don't even have half the space needed. I only have 2 GB free right now I'm gonna try to get enough before September 17th

RockstarMark
V will probably be easier than previous entries. Even if it is on par with IV, the improved controls will make it a smoother experience. The III era games were challenging at points but with enough persistence, they were pretty manageable.

BurningSnow
haha GTA is one of the easiest games out there I agree with you on that but only with IV. The III era can be really challenging if you don't know exactly what to do. III was the hardest in this case but they got easier especially when LCS and VCS hit. But really III, vice city, and San Andreas can be difficult.

Weigel21
I had to use cheats to beat III, but I was younger then and not very skilled (still not all that skilled). VC I beat, but I don't believe I got it beat 100%, I'd have to go and try to dig up my memory card and see. SA I know I beat 100% and without using any cheats whatsoever. Took me forever. I know I logged over 100 hours in the game. The only thing in the game I couldn't beat, although it wasn't required for 100% completion, is I couldn't get Gold in the the driving coarse where you had to drive from the DMV to the far end of the city and back again within a certain time and without any damage. For some reason, I could never get gold. I'd either end up having some dick pull out in front of me or T-bone me. That or if I managed to not get any damage, I was a little too slow for the Gold. Oh well, I got Gold in EVERYTHING else and got the game beat 100% without using a single cheat. IV I beat as well, but I missed something, it said I only got something like 98.5% completed. It was a good game, but I opted not to go back and play through again in an attempt for 100% completion. To my understanding, there really wasn't anything special unlocked after completing the game 100%, but perhaps I'm wrong about that. Same went for TLaD as well as TBoGT, I don't believe I got either 100%, but I'd have to go look. Really, it wasn't all that important to me like SA was. With the GTA IV Trilogy, playing online was a bit more fun than playing through the game again in an attempt for 100% completion. V will be different, I'm going to strive for 100% completion, but from the sound of it, that will be quite time consuming and likley VERY difficult. Dick Justice
I'm pretty sure "unlock" is the wrong word to use when talking about the characters. It's not going to be a big deal like it was when we unlocked new islands in the past games. We just have to wait for characters to be introduced. You know, imagine it's like San Andreas, if there were three playable protagonists and one was Sweet, we would have gotten him after the second mission, what if the other was Cesar? We would have had to wait a bit longer, but not really a substantial amount of time (I think Cesar appears after about the 8th mission, depending on which order you do them in). The point being, they don't want to quickly shove three new characters down your throat from the absolute get-go. It would be a mess, with players not having enough time to familiarize themselves with the new guys.

Its certainly different from slower paced from the start IV, and will be interesting to see
