Red XIII
Every property and business you can buy will most likely be enterable. I hope we can buy the weed store and get discount, I wouldn't be surprised if franklin had to bun a joint before entering slow motion while driving. I<3GTAV
I'm sure it is, as the heists are supposed to give you a large influx of cash to spend on purchasing businesses and making even more profit off of them.
brian.
I believe so far, in my own opinion, it will work like this: The characters will each need to put up money on stuff they need for heists and for buying their chosen businesses. I expect Trevor not to be able to own a business of his own, but instead to accumulate dens and labs, and potentially become trailer park owner and such, but not strip clubs, car lots, and medicine stores - those if they exist for purchase would be franklins. Perhaps Michael is into real estate, stocks, laundomats, fronts like that along with an outdoors shop. These are the things I can imagine. I can imagine very large payoffs in heists - even small ones appearing large at first - but having to spend that money immediately to progress - or get yourself trapped having to repo cars to earn enough to progress. I think that big money will be fastest accumulated it by managing it well. Stocks being a big hint at that. Businesses also need to be maintain profitability to be successful. By the end of the game, you'll surely have a copious payout - likely to the tune of 20 to 100 million dollars to splurge and have for a while as a reward while you explore the things you wanted to revisit later on, when you had more money. In GTA SA, if you went and started buying properties as soon as you had the option, you would be a broke ass carl johnson and that even effected some of the possibilities open to you in gameplay beyond what you could afford - like who would respect you, date you, or allow you to progress in missions that particularly cost money to go on through. But the flaw was that if you managed your money for, like, 4 or 5 more missions - like 10 or 15 minutes of gameplay, maybe half an hour, you could literally, because a mission at that point pays out like crazy, you could basically buy everything that was open to you in the first set of properties, and still be able to spend on anything else for a while. Perhaps GTA V will be able to make money matter a lot more - a lot of money is one thing, but you need to have a lot more to spend however much you have now - if they play it like that, and businesses need maintenance just like a stock portfolio, relationships, heist details, and vehicles will, that would be really sweet. It likely plays a massive role, money being seemingly easy to come by, but very hard to hang on to. Maybe you should not take that cab, the walk isn't too far. Maybe you should not risk that car theft, the medical or fines will be pretty high. Maybe you should wait until you can afford a bit more. Maybe you should not buy the strip club yet, get the gas station, convenience store, first, it is easier to make business in. That can save the strip club if people ever decide to go across the street to Tony's club instead. That can be a really brilliant piece of design, we can only hope that it has been given even half of this attention, it would amount to a lot more fun for us the players, keeping our experience alive by being able to generate the revenue to do all those fun things, without destroying our character in the process. Speculating in this way makes it feel like a sort of new take on role playing games. Like San Andreas is with its RPG aspects, but also as different from those, as those were from traditional RPG elements. Maybe they've really perfected an economy that matters, by having enough fun things to do with the money that making it hard to come by is worth it. People are gonna be selling Live and PSN accounts preloaded with 50mil for 100 bucks a pop xD lol jk.
