Maybe if I played any of the other FC games in the series before FC4, I might have been dissapointed with FC4. .........but FC4 on PS4 was my first. Loved it.

The mg42 is a game breaker.There is literally no recoil for the rifle.It is not mounted on a bipod,there should be quite a lot of recoil. Unless it shoots 9mm rounds...

3 hours in the game and I'm already stuffing my wallet and customizing my guns. I need to do more hunting and less killing. A few questions..

 

Do I need to sign up at Uplay for co-op, or just the APP?

 

And how is the underwater life? I have bad phobia of swimming underwater, and quite frankly a Demon Fish scars the sh*t out of me... so besides those huge f*ckers, am I going to be sh*tting myself anytime I swim in the water?

 

Other than those few questions, I'm having a blast. Just a beautiful game to walk around, driving has been infamously bad for me since FC3 (reminds me of the sh*tty controls of the Mako in Mass Effect), I'll probably tweak the controls if more driving is necessary... although that mini-helicopter is a joy and relief to have. I've also come accustom to using the recurve bow, so much fun and a sense of greatness to kill folks from a distance, silently, with a bow.

I've just did the mission today where you kill Pagan Min's body double and it totally got me. I almost got super upset at the game, because I thought it was way too early to kill him off, and such a sh*t death. And then I realized...

As far as I know, you need to be signed to Uplay to play co-op.

- The Demon fish is very easy to catch. Almost any weapon can kill them. In fact there is a place on the map (can't remember where is it ) where this specific fish is trapped . You just shoot the fuc**s in the head from the land. If I remember right, you complete one of the hostages mission in this location!

Also, beware if you see some lillypads floating near banks in all areas. Sometimes when you walk up to them, a crocodile will jump out and try and getch ya. I never even seen it coming til it was too late. LOL.

after the cutscene where he executes the young couple, I remember hopping in my little bird and following him by air.

I was just following him before I realized after a few seconds that the game said "KILL PAGAN MIN" and I was like WHAT; it's way too soon. I paused the game and looked at the map and saw all the other sh*t I hadn't explored yet. so at this point I assume Ajay is having a dream or something. the game is obviously not over. so I didn't shoot at him until he stopped driving and pulled into this compound (I could have killed him from the air all along with my grenade launcher).

 

if you follow him to the compound he gets out and starts attacking you with other soldiers.

finally had to kill him and learn that it wasn't a dream but I panicked at first.

When I killed his double, I accidentally jumped out of the gyro and fell to my death. I was so disappointed, I wanted to shoot his dead body a few (hundred) times. Never did get the chance...

Bought this yesterday for the Xbox One, and I must say this game is one of the most graphically beautiful games I've ever seen, the landscape of Kyrat while you're high up a bell tower is mind blowing. Not to mention, this game is a ton of fun, I've had a good few hours on this game already, and I've barely scratched the surface. I see a lot of Far Cry 3 mechanics wise in this game, but that isn't a bad thing, at least not for me.

I only need 2 more trophies for platinum. The one where you have to distract 15 people with rocks and the the other one where you have to do a vehicle takedown while as a passenger in Co-op.

 

Any advice for the rock distracting one? I must have distracted at least 50 people but the trophy isn't unlocking

I had the same issue with trying to unluck one of the skills where you have to clear an outpost underacted.

 

Ezza and i must've did at least 5 or 6 outpot without being detected before the skill finally accepted it and unlocked.

Wait until you get further into the map. The areas near the top of the map are the most stunning in the game. The colours are more Autumn like up there.

I know what you mean. I bought FC4 at release for PS4 and it is so visualy nice to look at. It might have the coolest open world map I've ever seen. Loades of examples but here is just one: I'm just freeroaming around. I see a little hut and shed so I walk up to it. It has some fencing around it with a hole in the ground. I walk up to the hole, its a cave, I can repell down it, explore it, find collectables in it. This is a great feature. Not only do I find a cave, but I can go inside, explore, the works. I can show my friends and they can go in as well.

 

If this was any other game, it would have just been a hole in the ground that you could not explore much past looking down it. This game lets you DO instead of telling you " YOU CANT". So many great things about this game.

That, those damn snakes and i haven't seen em yet in FC4 but the poisonous dragons.

Yeah it's pretty simple...the same controls for any other shooting games LT- Aim/Brakes /RT- Shoot/Gas X/A to jump/R3 to run ect the only controls that suck are the driving controls but thankfully you can change those in the control section.

I thought that at first, but as time goes on, I'm doing just that, like nothing. It's all about recon, and learning the movements of enemies.

 

Not sure what I'm doing different from when I first started playing, but it's working.

 

My only gripe about this game is the lack of the double takedown. That was my favorite thing to do, especially when jumping on them.

 

But I love sending animals and people flying...

Why is it that out of the entire population of the Kingdom of Kyrat, the only person who can fly a buzzer is Ajay Ghale (who technically, only just arrived there?).

 

Wouldn't it be cool if the AI baddies could fly them too? A spot of aerial dogfighting over a hostile fortress would be awesome!

That would be cool. But even flying in a buzzer, they would still get stealth bombed by those fu*king eagles. LOL

The enemies have Blackhawk helicopters. They don't need puny buzzers.

Just raided a few hard outposts undetected.The auto crossbow is more effective than snipers.How is the LK-1018 without the lcam? And I found that the lk some time shoots standard rockets with the lcam.It might be a glitch.

I absolutely love the co-op in the community maps! You go to a pubic lobby, meet a player and start a mayhem with different maps. Today I played with one guy for over 2 hours!

I advise playing this mode while both are drunk and mics are on!
