Wayne Daniels
Far Cry 4 Permadeth DLC Available Now Escape from Durgesh Prison expansion New content is now available for Ubisoft's open-world action game Far Cry 4. The French publisher on Tuesday released the Escape from Durgesh Prison expansion, a time trial expansion that introduces permadeath to the game. The DLC is available today on PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4. In Escape from Durgesh Prison, main characters Ajay and Hurk find themselves locked in a prison, tortured, and stripped of the weapons. But these guys don't give up so easily. To escape, players must complete a series of challenges, set forth by evil leader Pagan Min, to acquire weapons and upgrade them before a final showdown. Ubisoft says Escape from Durgesh prison, which is playable in single-player and co-op, represents a "true test of players' survival skills," in part because the expansion doesn't allow respawning. Once you die, you'll need to restart the mission, though you should have a better idea of how to proceed the second time around. Escape from Durgesh Prison also features online leaderboard support, so players can track their performance against friends and the global community of users. The DLC is be available through the $30 Far Cry 4 DLC pass (which includes a number of other expansions), or can be purchased separately for $10. For more, check out GameSpot's Far Cry 4 review. That's so sh*t, it's a 30 minute timed mission, really worth $10? Looks like Ubisoft is leaning towards setting FarCry 5 in Australia next. They just posted this on their Facebook page: That would be so f*cking sick....are they actually considering it?
Shane_Dbns
Just got Far Cry 4. Hopefully I enjoy it. I loved Far cry 3, I thought it was the best FPS I ever played on PS3 so I think I should like FC4. Ai®a©ob®a and esmittystud101

esmittystud101
I kinda like doing outposts and fortresses with stealth, but with the whole run in gun style in this game, if you did all the outposts and fortresses run and gun style it cuts your game in half when it comes to actual time played. My buddies went run and gun style with everything and they finished the game in a week or less.

Both have lots of nice hills around them. Camp there and snipe the sh*t out of them until it's liberated. esmittystud101
I haven't played it in three weeks, but I'm completly finished in the south and got all the collectables, the north still has all missions and colectables still to get, I did do all the outposts and bell towers. I can't break into Pagin's Fortress yet. I'm sure once I progress in story it will torwards the end. Those mortor shots ain't no joke. El Dildo
Australia would be an excellent location for a Far Cry game. the Himalayas have been awesome but it's also too much snow. snow is boring. it's all white. I love all the colors of Far Cry (which is why the Shangri-La missions were so awesome) and the variety of environments. Australia certainly has a lot to choose from with sweeping deserts, rolling mountains, and ocean-front beaches. Australia also has some pretty impressive weather patterns, with huge dust storms, wild fires, etc. lots of great animal life to have running around too. When Ezza and myself play co-op we try and do it stealth too with Snipers, We are a good team when it comes to the Assassination jobs we each pick a target and fire at the same time. With the update though they fixed it so Ezza can no longer help me with bell towers that are in the restricted area but he helped me with most of em, I think i am close to unlocking the north of the map. That moment when you finally beat a mission after the 5th try... . I kind of hate stealth missions Which mission? You know the one for N where you have to sneak into the back of the truck and than sneak into the outpost and take pictures of her family and than kidnap paul
Shane_Dbns
Loving the game so far. Liberating an outpost with a friend while riding elephants is probably the most fun I've had in a game this year I'm still quite early in the game storywise. I'm going to do Sabal's missions instead of Amita's. She's beautiful but I don't trust her... Dutch Psycho

If anybody with PS4 has the new DLC and want to do a co-op and play it send me a PM. (You must also have the DLC yourself or you won't be able to join me) Edited January 17, 2015 by Troubadour

Ah well, Ubisoft tend to rape the gems they have, look at their past franchises. I can only hope that they won't do it for upcoming titles/franchies (rainbow six/the division I'm lookin' at you). Ai®a©ob®a
The best Far Cry has been Blood Dragon because it was a bit out there. Use your imagination even a little Ubisoft. The Yogi missions are kind of like that, I don't really care for those missions it kind of feels like i'm playing the game on acid or something which is what Ajay is suppose to be on or something. alot more weapon customisation and different attachements, more dynamic crafting and not the same old same old. This for sure, How hard would it be to put a gernade launcher on one of the guns? Instead if we want it we have to sacrifice either one of our heavy guns or sidearm. I've chose the grenade launcher in leiu of a sidearm which comes in handy ALOT but still I'd like to have my sidearm with a silencer on it for close sealth combat kills instead of hit and miss with throwing knives Some of those user made outposts are really fun. If you guys want to me to play your outposts, send me a message on PSN: Dbns_finest with the name of the map. I wonder if i get a usermade outpost undetected if it will count towards my skills. I need one left to unlock the "Soft landing" skill and every outpost i try and do on sealth with a sniper i get all of them but two and when i move in to try and find them after the camera fails to find em i always get spotted and it's driving me nuts. El Dildo
Yeah, don't care much for Australia. It'll end up being too similar to FC 2. not if they do it right. FC2 was Africa. the Australian outback and the African bush are pretty distinctive, environmentally speaking. the cultures are very different and they also have a completely unique assortment of wildlife (flora and fauna). >Retards opting for Australia in the poll >Ubisoft still ignoring Far Cry Tropical Island with Dinosaurs and improved/extremely expanded skilltrees that make you sacrifice certain playstyles to get more boosts/advantages in other playstyles, alot more weapon customisation and different attachements, more dynamic crafting and not the same old same old. >Post Apocalyptic Far Cry could also be pretty badass if done right (=> expand and try new things: don't copy/paste the whole gameplay from Far Cry 3). Ah well, Ubisoft tend to rape the gems they have, look at their past franchises. how is Ubisoft "raping" the Far Cry series? just because you don't agree with their choice of location? and I don't see how Australia is "retarded" either. a tropical island with dinosaurs might be interesting for a little while but it's not a full game, that's why they had Blood Dragon. that's DLC content. an entire game about dinosaurs wouldn't have the kind of fun story or characters you get from the previous titles. it would just be like a hunting game. unless you just want to make Jurassic Park The Video Game, we don't need another Blood Dragon already. post-apocalyptic Far Cry wouldn't really be Far Cry anymore. we have tons of games on the market for post-apocalypse already. multiple franchises dedicated to that theme. Far Cry has nothing to do with that.
~Tiger~
I just finished the campaign, I took my time as I wanted to play lots of side missions & build up my skills, crafts and weapon set before the heavier missions. This means I had unlocked the Buzzsaw MG by the time I got to Pagans Palace and the final shootout was a doddle. I even beat Pagan's fortress while he was still in charge! The ending to the story was a bit meh, but that's Far Cry for you. Also, I don't seem to be at home in the landscape in the same way that I was in FC3, there are no 'little places' to go and have fun, like Rook Island's lumber yard, or Pirate Cove or the village near the lighthouse or the airbase on the South Island. Kyrat's landscape is very samey and one place is much like another. Still, the Buzzer is a neat addition.

Shane_Dbns
Just finished the game (PS4) What I like about It > Graphics are excellent, Kyrat is a truly beautiful place > Frame Rate is solid which is a great improvement over FC3's sub 25fps (talking about the ps3 version of fc3 here) > Gameplay is fun, , Mixing takedowns with the awesome selection of guns available makes you feel like a badass > Co - Op is great fun with a friend > Elephants, Nuff said > Packed with side stuff What I don't like > Story is meh and most of the characters are boring. Pagan is great but nothing close to Vaas. The ending was weak > The main storyline was too short ( only 32 missions, maybe if it was slightly longer the story would have been better) > A lot of the npcs are retarded ( eg running in front of cars and in the way of gunfire) > Pvp multiplayer is kinda boring Overall I think Far cry 4 is an excellent game. 7.5/10 Edited January 24, 2015 by Dbns_Finest

~Tiger~
Have you played any co-op yet? If not you should it's fun also pick up the new DLC that just came out. It's on my To Do List. I know it's been said before but I really can't stand that in-car radio. The music is ok but the voice over is mind numbing. The guy who voices Rabi Ray Rana must have spent all of ten minutes in the recording booth. They are especially annoying after completing the campaign missions because the updated announcements are mixed with the old 'I'm talking to you Pagan Min' announcements. Also, at one point he talks about eating bacon and in another announcement he says all the people of Kyrat are vegetarian. Huh? It's gotten to the stage where I drive everywhere by quad-bike or Buzzer if I can because I hate the radio so much...! Ai®a©ob®a
