Filip 414 Posted April 10, 2014 I do agree. I really can't choose which intro is the 'best', but GTA III definitely has a great one. I love hearing that amazing opening credit music. I mean, me too, but its music makes me crazy and it's old-fashioned, gangsta, classic, etc. GTA intros are cool in general. .
Indy007 40 Posted April 17, 2014 I love the GTA intros! To be honest, I'd say GTA III is my favorite intro. The music is awesome! I recently found it and put it on my iPod. Great tune! Especially when driving through the city.
B Dawg 9,631 Posted April 18, 2014 Haha when I first had the game, save files wouldn't load, and back then I didn't have an internet for the patch. So it was basically causing chaos, having fun with the cheats, flying with the tank to the other islands, or trying to do as many missions in one playthrough. polaris23 889 Posted April 26, 2014 (edited) My fondest memory of GTAIII has to be experiencing and exploring all the greatest glitches in the game, such as: Figuring out how to get inside buildings (in particular, Joe's Garage or anywhere else that featured a unique interior) using a car and a Speed Up Gameplay code. Looking for a so-called Purple Esperanto. The mystery of the Seven Lifts Finding the "You Know You Weren't Supposed To Be Able To Get Here" sign - genius. Seeing Ray text us via beeper "See you in Miami!" and knowing that VICE CITY was going to be the next game in the series, and seriously being so excited for it. And the best one, finding out that the game's first cutscene's location is hidden behind Shoreside Vale, dubbed "Ghost Town" - and all the Dodo flight/Tank flying that it took to get to it because it was immensely fascinating. Looking back at it, it's still so great, yet so small (compared to things like SA's hidden Liberty City and now V's North Yankton) but it started all the huge, hard-to-reach places and glitches that I love GTA for now. cryptorelic 943 Posted February 29, 2016 (edited) Grand Theft Auto III was the first game of the series i was getting into on PlayStation 2 in November 2001, got it for my birthday. It was clearly the most amazing game available. I was 11 years old and got stuck at the mission where Salvador was trying to kill Claude. I was constantly running into his setup trap, i didn't really bother reading what the top right pager said. I just believed it was a game bug, and stopped trying. Found my way over to Staunton Island with a tricky jump on the destroyed bridge. To access Shoreside Vale i was typing the "cars can fly" cheat in and nicely flow over the left out part on the bridge. It didn't take long until some friends told me how to do the Salvador mission, and check, got it done. Next mission i would stuck was to protect that convoy on it's way to Shoreside Vale from Staunton Island, many attempts, got it working after some days. The probably most annoying mission on such a young age was Coffee 2 Go because i didn't realize i can drive around and the dots appear on my radar before shooting the first. Awww, such great childhood memories. Rainy days, no school, Grand Theft Auto III. Edited February 29, 2016 by DoubledRelic696
Evil empire 2,138 Posted June 27, 2017 (edited) Driving in Chinatown with a reasonably fast car like the kuruma with the triads behaving friendly and listening to . Seeing a group of hostile gangsters close to a wall, shoot them with the bazooka and see their limbs flying in the air. Doing the firefighter mission, hit the cars to make them fly away or turn them upside down and see the explosion with pedestrians' limbs flying in the air. Playing the taxi mission and earning something like 50000$ fastly and while having fun. Edited September 12 by Evil empire

"You can sail the seven seas!" "You want the chainsaw gringo?" 2. The chatterbox fm one of the best radio talkshow station in gta 3. The way the character Claude flips off to drivers of other cars 4. Salvatores mansion and the italian music that plays inside his house 5. The Banshee inside glasshouse in Portland 6. Paisan™ 628 Posted January 29, 2018 During the mission 'Luigi's Girls' where you have to pick up Misty from the Hospital, An 8 year old me used to get in a car and drive her down to the docks and start random fights with people, because Misty is one of those aggressive AI that attacks anyone that punches, kicks, or shoots the Protagonist, like Mercedes in GTA VC. Anyways, I'd spend the whole time around the docks just beating people up with Misty...Those were the days...

But then again, there wasn't that hindsight back then.
Jack Lupino 639 Posted January 29, 2018 GTA 3 is actually the most violent gta game. From limbs and heads falling off, blood fountain, the sound when people get run over by car(Screeeech! Khrrrrr!!) to using of middle fingers infront of drivers. This game taught me all evil things in life
Evil empire 2,138 Posted January 31, 2018 I'll never get tired of the gore mod. Severing the arms, legs, shooting my enemies with a RPG only to leave a human trunk are pleasures my other GTA's don't offer. I love the atmosphere in the streets when I do gang wars with the screams, everybody attacking me on sight, it's a delight, nearly as great as the San Andreas gang wars. Becko 3 Posted February 3, 2018 GTA III is the game I'm constantly coming back to when I want to replay one of the games from the series. Funny thing is, I think Vice City is probably objectively better, but there's something really special about III that draws me in every time.

This thing is by default. Well, unless you live in Australia or Germany. But even if you do, there is a cheat NASTYLIMBS (not sure if it was the same) tha enables this. However on Xbox and Mobile you don't have this due to the skinned geometry. Edited February 4, 2018 by stef_92

DownInTheHole 776 Posted September 12 (edited) It hits a sweet spot between the demented aesthetic of the older GTA games from the 2D Universe and the "3D-ness" of the newer games. It also has really badass female characters that play important roles in the main storyline. Edited September 12 by DownInTheHole
Beato_dim 633 Posted September 12 I played through it during my first summer holidays in university, back in 2011.
