Another Graphics Comparison

This was expected, the consoles aren't powerful enough, so they have to remove high quality textures, objects such as fences, barrels, dumpsters and trees for example, and on top of that decrease the entire view distance so that the console doesn't have to render so much, otherwise the fps would suffer to much.

 

It's really a shame that they have to partially ruin a huge game like this just to make a few bucks on the old consoles, in a perfect world they would only have released it to PS4, Xbox One and PC, all at the same time, with no compromises in graphics, because that is what the game deserves.

Tell me what games don't have doctored high-res much-better-than-it-looks-in-game-screenshots? Nothing surprising here. Did you really think that the final product would look that good? Are you really that based that you think it would be better if the game were released only on next gen? You mean the consoles that almost nobody will own? The consoles that would require the game to wait even longer to be released? Do you how many millions of sales will be lost if the game were next gen exclusive? There are currently about 150,000,000 360's and PS3's in consumer hands right now. How many people will have an Xbone or PS4 a year from now? 30M? 40M?

 

You are extremely ignorant to suggest that we would be in a "perfect world" if Rockstar denied millions of gamers the ability to play such an amazing game.

How am I a PC scumbag? I own two Xbox 360's, first one for GTA IV and the second one for GTA V specifically.

 

And if you could read you would know that I didn't take the screenshot from YouTube. But the RAW upload from Rockstargames.com, 275MB unaltered by any compression but it's own MP4.

Every game is developed in their own tools, on a computer, they take very high quality resolutions and scale them down until it fits the console or system requirements on a PC.

 

That is why we get to see a better looking game than it actually will be in our hands, a good example of that is before the Far Cry 3 release, we saw a Devbuild of the PC version, it looked insanely good, but was trimmed down to fit the consoles, and after that ported to PC, so it didn't look even remotely good looking than the PC devbuild.

I'll make it more simple for you. Point is R* know what the game would be like when the choose to develop it for current gen consoles. They have themselves they know the systems more so went this route. Claiming the consoles are not powerful enough to run a game that R* wanted to be on the systems is retarded. R* know more about there vision of there game then some kid on the internet. Clear enough now?
