i hope the Heists are not repetitive

one of my fears is that the 6 major heists, will be repetitive.... please make then epic, but really distinctive from each other...

 

 

each heist will have 1 major option, stealth or guns blazing, which will probably show different scenarios, along all the choices you made as well.....

 

i just hope their not repetitive

 

 

i mean it be cool to see an aquatic heist, military base heist..... different types of heists that involve different mechanics

Nah. So far we have one heist that infiltrates a boat, one that robs a jewelry store and one that is a full scale assault on a hick town.

It appears that one of the heists will take place at a "chicken festival" whatever that is... that should be pretty wacky. Definitely gonna do that one "loud and dumb." turn.gif

i think each of the heists are only ment to be done Once, as each heist seems to have a HUGE financial payout. im sure youll be able to rob stores and things of that nature on a smaller scale....but the 6 majors will only be 1 time events.

For the replay value... play through the game once using the smart way, and then play again but using the loud and dumb way.

All the trailers and videos along with the interviews should have stuffed this topic to begin with. Robbing more than one bank goes against common sense. Thats why they are called heists, heists are not exclusive to banks, so naturally a bank heist would work differently than a train robbery or even a plane jacking. Car heists also can be considered. This gives me an idea fora topic..

Could provide more variety. The type of team you have could also be a factor. For example if you have a high level gunman, but a low level hacker, going in "loud and dumb" could be more beneficial. I imagine if your hacker isn't skilled enough, he could accidentally set off an alarm or something like that, so going in the "stealthy" way could have its own risks as well.

Just because some nerdy old cripple calls it dumb doesn't mean it necessarily is. Michael is shouting badass one-liners if you take that approach with the Vangelico robbery, so it seems like he approves of that course of action.

Loud and Dumb would mean more money. While the smart way means it's easier but more shares and you already spent money getting everything ready. That should be the balance.

Remember as well that one of the games newer features is that you're able to switch positions during the heist by changing from one protagonist to another, with each of them performing different tasks. As well as that, we'll be allowed to plan out each heist so that we can see whether it's better to go with stealth or all out assault, for example.

 

I doubt they're going to be repetitive anyway, but features like these ones will make sure that they're not in the slightest.

No, I'm just going off the planning I saw in the gameplay trailer. All heists will allow for a stealthy approach.

I'm going to mostly be doing stealth. That gas knockout feature looks BADASS!

Loud and dumb means far less prep. No elaborate costumes, no gas canisters, no gas masks, no special truck or special uniforms.

the heist variation will be similar to that of the missions in GTA IV (drive/run/swim/fly/boat/train to [X], chase/kill [Y] using [Z]).

I also hope they won't be repetitive. So far the heists themselves don't seem repetitive, but the methods and probably actions you take might be. So far we can see that each of the heist layouts on the walls look exactly the same, with only a difference of the pictures and locations.

 

It's repetitive in the way that you have to pick between option A or B every time in the same way you did for the last heist, as well as pick your crew in the same way you did last time. Perhaps there are other repetitions like scouting the town/area or timing the police response.

 

Fingers crossed for every heist to feel fresh, different, and increasingly more dangerous/scary.

Im afraid that if you do things quiet or loud that the end of the heist will still be the same. Like if your loud someone will hit an alarm or something but if your quiet one of the charchters trips the silent alarm by accident and now you have to fight waves of cops or something. Im afraid of that happening. If i go quiet I expect little resistance if i go loud i expect more. I dont want the same resistance level regardless of my choice.
