Convertible Cars

The reason I'm asking this is because we haven't seen or heard any more about it since the first trailer. You would think that in the Q&A yesterday and the interview today that they would have mentioned. It's a more important and bigger feature than tire smoke color, and they mentioned that.

 

 

In addition to the many cosmetic customization alterations such as body kits, paint jobs/finishes, wheels, exhaust tips, window tints, tire smoke color, bull-bars, extra lights, and lots of other extra accessories, we have modifications that will affect gameplay and vehicle performance. Some of the modifications that affect gameplay include brakes, engine tuning, suspension, horns, bulletproof tires, panel armor, and of course, a general repair! There are more than 1,000 modifications in total.

 

I know they said lots of extra features, but still, you would think they would have at least mentioned it. There's a 50/50 chance of it being in or out.

 

So, do you think it's still in or has it been cut, maybe due to technical problems?

things they want us to discover on our own.

I did and they give me the classic R* generic response.

You could ask them about usable dildos and that's the response you would get.

That's not what I mean, I know convertible cars are in the game, I mean the ability to let the convertible roof down.

With that logic I guess you think closing tops in real life have no real purpose as well. I doubt they were cut because they shouldn't require that much space. It would be stupid to just remove a feature that does no real harm and was already nicely animated.

Damn, must be cut then. Usually they talk about things that were shown in the trailers and screenshots. I'd be surprised if it was still in the game.

I remember one of the previews some time ago saying, they were playing as Franklin and when they got into a car the top went down automatically. Maybe it is in but we don't control it.

same here, i always thought it was retarded when you were in a convertible in IV and it would start to rain and the roof would still be down.

I don't really think they would mention it more than once, it's one if those little details, but it's really cool nonetheless. I think it's still in with all the car customization options.

This. I think it's still in, R* just doesn't feel the need to mention being such a minor feature and all. It is just an animation, so it shouldn't take up that much disk space.
