I went to friends mom's and dad's who didnt give a sh!t what they did and had them get it for me. I'm not judging your parents because I don't know them, but parents IN GENERAL , are always looking to pass the blame of their bad parenting off on a video game, or music album or whatever. That's why society so f*cked up today, because of deadbeat parents who rather blame something instead of accepting responsibility themselves. My advice to you, ask your mom to use her credit card so that you can download like a sports game from the xbox live or Sony marketplace. But instead of downloading said sports game or whatever kiddie game you choose...use the credit card number which should already be input and saved in your xbox/ps account, and download GTA V. Then if she asks about it, just be like, The sports game I wanted to get, there was some error and it wouldn't download , so i just downloaded the next best thing (which would be GTA V) ....and Walah! ... If your parents actually think that GTA V is something that shouldn't be played by you, then most likely they are also dumb enough to believe a story that the game you wanted to download had an error. Nevertheless...you will have the game in the end. And if they tell you not to play it or delete it, It still can be REDOWNLOADED ANYTIME without the credit card, Re-download it later and play it when they are out of the house or at night when they aren't watching. I've never been aggressive and I have no desire to shoot someone in the face but my parents are CONVINCED that violent video games alter people's minds and make them want to commit crimes. Now we as GTA gamers know this is untrue. Please share insight on your experiences with GTA when you were younger and tell me what I should do. I tried to sum up some facts now but it's just...ugh...too much....state of mind, environment, media, school, personality, parents, friends, society, origin...and on and on and on... on the other hand you could just aswell question the rating system and the politics that is pursued with it, instead of the age of the consumer or whatever. but again it's a "deep" issue and demands many factors to be considered....and in the end you can't always make sense of what mankind/society produces/does. little story: I was 16 when GTA III and Max Payne 1 released. It was the beginning of me diggin some more serious gaming really. Loving it for the details, for the product, for what is inside that 50 $ (or whatever) package. Around that time I mentally moved on from the Nintendo era as the aforementioned games were more ambitious and I was hooked the minute I saw and played those games. Need to mention that I watched Scorsese, Tarantino, De Palma or John Woo movies starting at the age of 12 or so. Have been hooked on heroic blood-shed movies, especially done with bullet-time and over the top styled out choreography, just aswell as gangster/crime movies with good dialogue and a love for drama. gimme the godfather and goodfellas, also the sergio leone italo-western classics with eastwood. that was all before gaming, before I was allegedly exposed to that super killer maker video game stuff that is sooooo dangerous - I didn't turn out a criminal hooker killer. and that is the end of the story. I'm a tax-paying slave with a clean record, I think the "bosses" are okay with how I turned out even though I tasted the fobidden fruit before I reached the age they saw fit for me to do so. yeah whatever....just get or don't get this game and deal with it. consequences will never be the same anyhow. we're a dustcorn in the universe. and we all come from the same tree. #fact Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

For now. If they tell you it's too violent, explain it to them that it doesn't make you violent too. TBH, GTA made me scared enough to go out often(because I'm afraid that someone might go on a rampage and kill everyone around) than teaching me to go out often and kill everybody for fun.
