GTAaLEX117
"We're sure driving is more fun than it's ever been in a GTA" - Rockstar From how it looks that is a lie. Arcade handling sucks. They think arcade = fun Any type of handling can be fun but IV's handling -- some what realistic to these people -- wasn't fun. Rockstar feels they need to dumb down the handling and make it effortless to be fun. I guess Forza isn't fun because it's too realistic huh? Thats why millions play the damn game. Exactly, you don't need to master the driving skills in this game and there's no satisfaction out of driving... at all. When I first played SRIII I literally quit out after hopping in a car. Granted, V doesn't look that bad but it looks fairly close. Also, over time I think they'd adapt to it and learn how good it really was - to drive realistically. Arcade sh*t gets boring, fast. No replay value for me because there's nothing to learn, or master. Just because it's a little less exaggerated than IV doesn't mean that driving skill is gone, even in the III era, cars were notoriously hard to control under certain circumstances. Also, IV's driving wasn't really realistic...excessive body roll? Incredibly soft suspension? No grip? Slow acceleration? exe_order_66
you know whats funny people complained but did any video you saw have the player customize the car to its max settings and see how it does on an open road. I havent YET! I have an idea on what Rockstar is trying to do. I think that at first yes the car's handling would be crappy but the more you upgrade and customize it the car would be more responsive. faster. more agile. It's a F-ing learning curve people. when you play the game, customize the car to the max and then come back here and tell us what happened. All these videos have people playing and yet their not doing any customizing on the cars. PERIOD! if your a getaway driver id think that would be important. the Transporter does it! lol. In real life the car would skid too when cornering at full speed........... trust me its more realistic Actually, it's more likely that the car would lift on two wheels rather than skid on ice. It depends a lot on the tires. From what I've seen, cars in V still skid a lot when cornering at high speed, especially low and medium end cars. Skeloton
I think that was modded because when I last played Crysis I banged the cars up something rotten and the damage was insignificant. Well until I blew the car up and turned it into a smouldering wreck. Edited September 16, 2013 by Skeloton

The damage looks fantastic too. For whatever reason developers seem adamant that you cannot have realistic driving/damage in a game because it isn't 'fun' or gets 'annoying'. I think if they implemented it the reaction would be overwhelmingly positive (at least, from people who can actually/want to learn to master something). People who say they like V's driving are just trying to make the best of a sh*tty situation and have an optimistic outlook on it.

mikeinthahouse
I love the driving, It feels to responsive and like i'm actually in control of the vehicle. Heck, I finally feel like racing my car down city streets and swerving between traffic. Another thing- I don't crash every minute ether. BettyBlueGT
Half a game because they took away so many of the small features from GTA 4 like arcade machines, pool, bowling, CANNOT BUY FOOD EXCEPT IN A CONVENIENCE STORE OR VENDING MACHINE! Cannot buy apartments or safe houses. They kinda lied... And a lot of the cooler features will be saved for GTA Online. So yeah we bought half a game. About 90% of the players on IV didn't play the arcade machines, pool and most hated bowling. You couldn't buy apartments in IV yet you can buy businesses in V and you guys are still complaining. mariana_dm1989
It's pretty clear that r* did not intend to make arcade controls. It's just that the turning is more fast, responsive. mikeinthahouse

They never said arcade machines and the GTA 4 activities were returning, now you're just feeding them words and making them puke them out. 2. "Cooler features will be saved for GTA Online" I can only think of organizing your own heist, which is pretty much compensation for it not having an intense storyline, and honestly ...You can't make a heist with 1-2 people, it's called a robbery, which we can already do in singleplayer. 3. Those reasons make it half a game? I think someone needs to introduce you to ...Any single f*cking game that isn't GTAV that was released in 2009-2013.
