Can we carry multiple weapons of the same type?

Finally! We are now able to carry multiple weapons of the same type at the same time! Like in Red Dead Redemption, and this is evidenced by the weapon wheel!

 

 

As you can see, we can read AP Pistol in the wheel and right under it we see <3/4>

 

I am assuming that the 3/4 stands for the number of pistols Franklin has collected and that he can choose from a variety of handguns on the go, just like we could do in RDR

 

less than a second later the wheel highlights Assault Rifles, and we again see a number this time it is <2/2> meaning Franklin has another rifle ready for use right there.

 

So the days of only being able to carry one type of weapon for each class are over!

 

I know that many previews before had posted that in the game there was going to be a weapon wheel like in RDR but we didn't know if we could carry all weapons even if they are the same type with us (like in RDR) but now it seems at this is possible and I am very excited!

 

What are your thoughts? Am I mistaken?

Appears that they have done what Red Dead Redemption did where you had several types of pistols, rifles, shotguns etc and could select them using the d-pad.

I think you would have to select fist then press the d-pad left or right to select hand to hand or melee weapon.

Melee weapons, I believe they belong in the 'special/fun' weapons category, where the 'explosive' gun is at ...

 

I think this is a great way to be able to carry different types of weapons.

But I still can't see where the melee weapons will be placed in the wheel!

No. It's "one" weapon at a time actually. You can't have more then 1 in your hand.

I think it may be under the fist category, assuming the OP is correct about the multiple weapons of the same type. Or it might be with the thing that looks like bundled TNT. They can't have gotten rid of the melee weapon, because in the special edition they say you get an exclusive melee hammer.

If its like RDR then I think you would have multiple types of the same weapon, or am I mistaken? But if I must say I think that weapon wheel looks nasty.

No. It's "one" weapon at a time actually. You can't have more then 1 in your hand.

But we have multiple weapons of the same type in our inventory so we are actually carrying multiple weapons at the same time.

Yeah, I know I was very pissed at the health regeneration thing for the same reason!

 

But I am a weapons lover and hence, I am very excited to see we can use any weapon available at any moment as long as we have collected it, so well

 

And, well one hit kills are always available via a headshot so there you have it!
