SuarezEvra
At least I can now somewhat keep my speed around a corner without "drifting" and flying into the building. In GTA IV you had to correct oversteer to not lose control of the car. Just like in real life. Every car in real life will start to "drift" if you try to make tight turn at high speed you just need some skills to handle it. hmmmm... oversteer only really happens in rearwheel drive cars.. understeer is more common during high speed turns.. gta IV driving was fun but maybe a slight bit exxagerated with the sliding n rolling,, realism n fun would be more in V than ever.. trust me
Mamunda
GTA IV driving was also a bit unrealistic because cars slided too easily and behaved like boats. But in Ballad Of Gay Tony it was improved and great, close to real life. Easily better than what's in the GTA V gameplay vid.
RisingRedWolf
I got a bit worried after seeing that sports car but after watching it a few times it seems as though the slower vehicles still looked very weighty and physics based and I'm pretty sure the sports car only handled "arcadey" because the person driving may have had a high driving skill as someone mentioned in an earlier post. Also, the car customization looks as though it will offer different types of handling for different kinds of drivers (a feature that I previously hoped would be in there). I really hope they didn't dumb down the driving too much, because it was just so rewarding in IV when you learned how to master a car and get away with all kinds of sh*t. Agreed. We saw a scene with supercars that could be modded out combined with a higher driving skill making steering even easier. I loved GTA IV's driving physics and my biggest fear was that GTA V would go arcadey, but I am not too worried after seeing the gameplay video. I have never really enjoyed driving the supercars around. I always preferred the slower, heavier vehicles with their diverse handling models. As long as steering is not too snappy and the vehicles still bounce around with a realistic sense of weight (which they do in the scene where the police are chasing Trevor off-road) then I am happy. I trust in Rockstar to create just the right balance between realism and the responsiveness needed to keep the driving fun and accessible. Yeah, exactly. Even in racing sims I prefer using the slower cars because they just make the driving so much more fun and rewarding when you master the car. Regardless of what R* have done with the handling though, I think we can all agree that it's definitely not going to be as terrible as it was in Sleeping Dogs and SR games, thank f*ck. thivakar
Guys maybe there are two driving mode options, one being Realistic and the other being Arcade. I like Gta 4 driving physics it was awesome. SuarezEvra
can someone make a GIF from 4:26 of the trailer? The driving there was to arcady the red car isnt even going that fast.. the oncoming cars make it look fast but notice when it gets back into the right(wrong) lane.. the cars going the same direction arnt going that much slower,,, cars probably doing about 90mph.. in real life in any sh*tty car you cud easily switch lanes at those speeds without losing full control.. let alone a sports car with top notch handling.. (possibly franklin driving too) ( maybe modded )

PoliceFarm
I'm sick of hearing the word "arcadey" thrown around here like no tomorrow, do you guys even have a general consensus on what that means? Would you consider SA driving arcadey? To me it just looks like similar handling to IV but now cars don't lean 45 degrees to the left and right now, you know, because that was so realistic is GTA IV. Honest Bill
This argument s becoming a bit stupid isn't it? Fair enough if you prefer 'realistic' driving to 'arcade' but the driving on the old GTA gamess was great fun too. and GTAIV was by no means realistic, just different. Just wait to see if it's fun or not. Sorry for those of you who are disappointed with how it looks, but you can't really judge how fun it will be from those snippets.
